Soldering Issues

The soldering in my input has dried out now and I need to get it fix ASAP. Both places where the wire is supposed to be attached have both fallen off while trying to fix it a few moments ago. :hmm:

Can someone take a picture of the inside of of their bass under the plate and show me what the soldering is supposed to look like. Thank you very much in advance!!!

I am sorry, but you might need to be a little more specific. Your post brings up a few questions.

1) What do you mean when you say your solder has "dried out". Solder joints really ought to last several hundred years before any problems develop. Unless there is mechanical damage, or corrosion issues, solder joints don't normally fail.

2) The more important question would be "what sort of bass are you trying fix?" Is it a Fender Jazz, or Precision, or something other? If we don't know what you are trying to fix, it will be hard to help you fix it.

For wiring diagrams, which it sounds like you need, I would suggest any of the major pickup manufacturers. Seymour Duncan comes to mind. As well, I suspect Fender should have wiring diagrams somewhere in the Support section of their website as well.

Some how my solder joints have failed somehow... I don't know why:confused: I think I'll just be taking it into a shop soon just to get it fix and all.

Also it is a Barracuda.... and that is all I can say about it because I don't know much more about it... sorry.

Ok, I'll take a look at their sites and see what I can come up with.
