Double Bass Solo Classical Bass Music

Hey, Im on holiday from my bass teacher at the moment, and Ive been asked to get some solo bass music and work on that along-side what he has set me. So what do you guys think I should buy? (From grade 2-3) Anythink will do realy, im open minded.

I would say that one of the Marcello or Vivaldi sonatas would be a good place to start. Maybe even The Elephant by Saint-Saens. Those are standard pieces are good for a 15 year old to be working on, and those were the first pieces I started doing work on.

I think that the marcello sonatas are an excelent way to start joining the world of classical DB! Theyhave nice sequences that will help you with shifts and string crossing, and of couse it would help you with your bow.And of couse, it would be a nice way to begin to understand baroque music.

I recomend you the one in F major, or A minor(a littles more difficult)
