Count me in on the 3620 club. Only I'm a 3640 as I have a set or powered 2 X 10's sitting on top of my 3620. The powered Peavey cab powers the 10''s and my Markbass IV head powers the 18's. Big stack. I rarely use it, I have a couple other rigs that are easier to move. I'll post pics when I get home. Awesome cabs. I too was entertaining the thought of getting a duplicate setup to side by side. They are awesome! Congrats!

Six 18's and 10's?
I think four 18's and 10's should be sufficient for most polite coffee house jazz gigs.
He should get two more and run stereo or quadrophonic. I'm sure the stadiums this kid plays require that much muscle.
Now all you have to do is play through an ACME cabinet so you can learn what real bass truly sounds like.

The 1820 and 3620 Peaveys make a lot of boomy humpy mid-bass with very little wattage required to get that loud and present. They also don't make much lower bass and run out of excursion fairly easy when you present them with a signal that has more true LF content.
I used to have an 1820 and a lot of power available to it. It was a good solution during that period. Now? A 15/6 fEarful just clobbers it at every frequency and won't blow Tens or crossovers or fart when pushed. And I won't either, when I'm bending over to pick it up.
