The last bands that I played in were several years ago. A majority of my work has been working with other bands in live production and studio work. I did a majority of my work in the Christian rock scene. Some of the bigger bands I worked with was Crystavox, Guardian, and Petra. Lately I have worked with Disciple, Seventh Day Slumber, Decyfer Down, Random Hero, 7eventh Time Down and a handful of others.

I wish I had copies of stuff from my older bands that I played in. Unfortunately, everything I had was stolen out of my room when my roomate moved out in the late 90's. I was interning in the youth group at our church and one of our youth kids helped my roomate, who was also interning at the time, move out. I had a box that had a demo tapes, copies of any other bands albums I had worked on, photos and even a few magazine articles I was interviewed in. Everything was stolen. The kid then disappeared from our youth group. He was the only one with my friend so it had to be him. It sucks but what can you do?

Actually, a few years back I did find band photos taken probably in 92' I think? Some high school friends and I formed this band. We were still undecided on a name but wanted to go up to Mt. Helix in San Diego for band photos. Our singer said he had a friend who was a photographer so everyone thought it would be a great idea. The day of the photo shoot comes and everyone is at the cross on Mt. Helix for band photos and this chick (still in high school as well) shows up with a few cheap disposable cameras. I can laugh about it now but at the time was not amused. So, here is what we got. Enjoy..

Be humble, work hard, listen to those more advanced than you and eventually, your hard work will pay off and will reward you. Here is a video I did comparing the 30th Anniversary to a standard Stingray 5. During the playing part, please excuse the poor audio as it was recorded from a cell phone. I'm in the middle of buying more gear for recording videos, to make the quality better. Also pardon the bad playing on my part. I just started playing 5 string in November and still have only played a few times since then due to numerous hospitalizations and 1 surgery. Also, almost all of my 4 string basses for 30 plus years have had thinner necks so playing on a fatter neck with an extra string has me sounding awful right now. I normally don't sound this bad when I play.

I know I mentioned getting this bass from Guitar Center. The Guitar Center I go to is in Englewood, Colorado and my sales rep is named Matty. I know GC gets a lot of bad publicity but this store is excellent. It has a Platinum Room in it and Matty as well as many of the other employees from the Manager on down have always given me excellent service. I made this short little video to say thank you to them and to Matty as well. I think people need to know what Guitar Centers are actually good ones. Well, this is one of them.
