Some help with Amp Sims in reaper. Amplitude4 and PF2

For along time I have been using Reaper and podfarm 2 with a ux1.Just to jot down ideas, full demo recordings to show the guys in the band of a direction for a song I was feeling...then we go from there.

So I got a new laptop, I figured I would try something a little better than PF2. Downloaded amplitude4 custome shop and I like it better.

The problem is I cannot use it like pod farm in reaper.
PodFarm - plug in ux1, open farm, pick sounds. Open Reaper, start recording. No vst, not fuss...Easy sound...good enough.

Amplitude4 Has to be used as a vst in order to use the ux1 ASIO for reaper. Fine I get that its different.
The problem:
If I play a recorded track so that I can record a second guitar or bass track on another track ,the first track I recorded sounds like poopie...almost as if amplitude is monitoring and reapplying its sound to the first track AND the one im trying to record.
I figure tgis because the amplitudes output monitor moves along with the already recorded track..

I like the sounds in amplitude, but I really like the simply way podfarm routes its sounds...without using a vst.

Questions:
Are there any other amp sims that act like podfarm as far as not needing to run a vst in reaper to use it?
And or-
Am I missing some settings while using amplitude with reaper?

I'm not sure how you did it with POD Farm and Reaper

It is possible to route the output of standalone amplitube into a DAW
Search for "ASIO Link Pro"

It has a patch bay like UI

You can route audio between apps and interfaces any which direction you want. (watch out for feedback loops)

There's a few tutorials out and about, here's one showing an standalone synth to ableton


There's a learning curve but once you have it set up you're done. You can save different set ups in "profiles"

PS - POD Farm is actually a very good modeler, but Line 6 has moved onto Helix which is even better IMHO

Thanks that driver looks exactly what I need.
As far as how I fid it with PF and reaper, Im not sure what you mean exactly.

I can tell you that the ux1 will only do it with podfarm(as in not needing to use it as a vst, has something to do with the way the set up the hardware with the podfarm program..at least thats what I read.) I will give this a try saturday.

Am I putting sperate versions of amplitude on each track? I can tell you that when I added a new track, I turned on the FX button and loaded amplitude4.
I did this for each track and left it al9ne after finding a sound I wanted.

Went ahead and tried everything together.
Using asio link pro with amplitude and reaper.
Part of it works.
I can open both and record to reaper, the only problem now is playback of any track i record is only playing back the dry sound of the guitar.
The video doesnt explain how to fix that, youtube only has twitchers and streams using it for OBS and all that garbage..kinda stuck. Im willing to bet that I am not routing things correctly..unfortunatly I am having an issue finding any tutorials or fixes for it in google.

When you installed, it installed in the same directory the manual "ASIO Link Technology.pdf"
It's chocked full of good information.
I mentioned there's a learning curve. ;)

It sounds like you're not routing the output of Amplitube to Reaper. More like grabbing the input from Ux2 doing a Y-connection to Amplitube and into reaper.

FYI it's amplituBe.

If you have a separate version of amplitube on each track and the effect is active / on / not bypassed, there's no reason you wouldn't be hearing the amp simulator sound upon playback. Probably would need to see some screenshots of your mixer pane to see what is causing this.
