It only takes one klepto. What are the odds, in a
corporate crowd, anywhere for that matter? Kleptos are the pits — not so uncommon. With them, it's not so much the money, it's the rush — the prize plus the achievement. Try as I may, I can't easily think as they do. They can be pathological. Some of the things I've lost to them beggar belief. The wrong is often hippopotamic. I've also lost one bass.
They do a lot of scheming. It's an obsession. They know when, and they how, to strike. Sometimes the planning is elaborate — aided these days by antisocial media mutts — and not clear-cut, just like their wayward reasoning.
