Glad I went in 1997 when the only ridiculous thing I had to ignore was jimmy Buffett.
The jazz festival shark was jumped 30 or so years ago when Claude Nobs booked Foreigner at the Montreux Jazz Festival. It's been all downhill since then.

Jazz is like the New Coke, it will always be around.
Well, Jazz is about the notes you don't play, so I wouldn't expect any of those acts to show up.
