Some new stuff from EH

i ordered this little beauty on tuesday out of sheer curiosity really.

mole1.gif

all in it cost around £35 delivered, and all i can say is that it sounds awesome!

it does exactly what it says on the tin - bass boost.

i tried it in a straight to DI situation last night, and it turned a meh sounding peavey international 5 string into a 'thumping you in the chest monster'

I shall be using it in my band's next show on sunday evening, and also through the 32k rig at my church gig on sunday morning.

Time will tell!

I built a clone. The Mole combined with the VT Bass is great, especially if you're going for a reggae/dub sound.

I'm curious if a bass booster like the Mole could resolve the low-end loss associated with playing bass through a guitar pedal like the Big Muff pi. I already own the BBM, but that NYC BM sound is something I really love -- I'm hoping a low-end boost might be the answer.

But if it is, would it go before the BM or after it?

Well, the mole is either going to be attempting to boost lows that aren't there, if its run after. Or, run it before the Muff will be cutting those lows. Damned if you do and damned if you don't.
