Nice work! Love the brass pup inserts and the inlay cutaway on the bass on the right. Keep at it!

What's the wood of the one on the left? The texture reminds of a very old table I once knew. Very old, and very heavy!

If you're talking about the Bass it's Cocobolo and very heavy.

On the the pic of the two Bass's the right is the Cocobolo and the left is Spalted Pecan.

Cool stuff, personally natural isn't really my thing, as they tend to look heavy to me. Maybe because the 1st natural Jazz bass I picked up was like 30 lbs..well seemed like it..lol.

I see in the other pic you loaded shows a "Hartke" bass cab.. that looks awful "Peavey like" to me, any relation, or am I crazy?

"Cocobolo is a tropical hardwood of Central American trees. Only the heartwood of cocobolo is used; it is usually orange or reddish-brown, often with darker irregular traces weaving through the wood. The heartwood, being quite dense, will sink in water."

The "peavey like" Cab was built by me it has two10" and a 15" I just stuck the Hartke sticker on it for fun.

It will also Dull anything you cut it with.
