Great find! Or maybe it found you? Either way, I wouldn't do anything to change the appearance. Short of making sure the wiring was OK I would leave it as is. It's an old Ampeg, the master of funk. Just leave it alone and play it. Also from a purely monetary position, old and original is always worth more down the road, trust me I found this out the hard way. Good luck. Keep the groove.

I got an Ampeg B-25 cab a friend found abandoned in his practice space. Everyone thought it was blown because it farted and buzzed. Turned out that most of the nuts holding the speakers to the baffle were gone and only 3 screws out of over a dozen holding the back of the cab on were there. $2 spent at the hardware store and it was roaring. Sold it for $100 and gave my buddy $25 of that.

Buy 4 tubes of black acrylic caulk, cut them open and empty them into a paint roller pan. Miz a little water and stir it up. Take a nappy roller, and cauderize the wounds, right over the tolex and bare wood... homemade rhino liner, kinda

I had a b-25... my first bass cab. 4/16 ohm selector switch, square magnets. .. regret getting rid of it. Blew the stick speakers and replaced em with eminence

Here's a thread that may be a little help to you...has a 6x10 wiring diagram for a HLF, I can't imagine the G-60 would be much different. And grats on the find; I wish I could get so lucky.

I dont, but if my 2x12 bandmaster project gets off the ground, I will use it on the repairs and send pix
