Somebody stole my bassline!

Pklima - I just want to know if you and your friends will ever make it out here to the US of A. I really like watching your videos, and the ladies you perform with all seem to be very.... fetching!

When are you going to get over this way?!?!!?
Haha, thanks. I don't think we're famous enough to tour other continents, though. Południca do play in other European countries a few times a year, though, I think they'll be doing a festival in Lithuania in August.

If you can copyright that, I am going right now to copyright the low F#. Then I can play metal. I also want the brown note.

I wanna copyright E minor! Then I'd really own metal!!! :bassist:

Maybe I can copyright "melancholy." That Sarah McLaughlin probably already has it though. I'd better check the patent office.

Nine Inch Nails may have invented electronic music, but I think Daft Punk slipped in and got the copyright... Sneaky buggers.

If you can copyright that
The line is really part of the song as copyrighted. Here's the not very interesting story of how that came about. The band registered a chart arranged for piano and voice with the left-hand piano part playing that C throughout. In this country you need to provide a chart in standard notation to copyright songs, and I guess the mandola player got lazy.

I didn't write the line, FWIW. I replaced a didgeridoo player who played a C throughout that entire song, so I played a C. I asked the lead singer if she wanted arco or pizz, and she picked pizz. The new bassist plays more notes on that song, though I don't know why!

I sometimes worry that bassists all suffer from mild autism. The amount of people who SERIOUSLY started questioning OP's initial post. This shows a distinct lack of depth of humour. Oh and that other thread where somebody photoshopped a sticker that said "I will kill anybody who touches my bass" was apparently comedy gold. Seriously. Also seeing that 50% of the posters here always talk about their ex-wives proves that half of you cannot pin down a relationship as well. Rainman boogie.
