Beautiful bass, but man is that neck pickup sitting right up against the fret. Not good, at least for my playing style.

I would suggest that Roger consider a 21 fret version of this.

From my experience with these pickups, I would assume the tone of this bass is more like a 'mellow J Sadowsky'.... less aggressive treble, less deep bass than the standard Sadowsky J, and less 'hit you in the chest' aggression as the standard Modern Seymours.

So, my guess is the tone of this bass would be more toward the FBass side of things?

that is a most cool bass. the norstrands w/ the sad preamp push that bass into the jazz bass stratosphere. just an enveloping jazz pup sound!

I didn't really miss the extra notes when I was working for someone else. I am doing a little project more for myself and my friends now so I will probably see a little action in that neck of the woods....pun intended!!
