Someone got ripped off.....

Scott, I don't know you and I really don't care, but I do care about TB. You need to understand that the way you defend yourself perpetuates the stereotype people have of you. I could care less how much you make, how much you do, how much you get taxed, etc. but the more you go on about it the more it leads my perception of you towards the negative. I wish all people happiness and success and the grace to avoid the ills that come with them, internal and external.

And if you learn to read you would see I mentioned nothing about money. But you are clearly only here to show off as you put it your big bucks. If you would like to read my post you will see I am clearly pointing your no better than anyone else and not above criticism. And if you are unable to hand criticism you shouldnt put stuff out there. I dont care why you bought it or why you made a video.

But dont come to a public forum with this high and mighty ego. And start taking shots in a thread that has been peaceful. If you have a problem with a post report it. That is also in the rules. A mod will review it and make the determination if it is ok.

I can understand why he is PISSED! Like I said good for him if he can afford, I was curious how he earns that kind of income. Maybe I will model him. There may be a little jealousy here, (I for sure am)..

However I love the discussion of a topic thrown out and learn from it. When I saw the price he paid for the Curbow I thought heck they are going for $250.00 on ebay then I learned that Cort Curbow's are the "knockoffs" and NOT the original hand made basses.

Whether he paid too much or not is irrelevant.

Scott good for you! and PM me the secret of your success! lol..

Cheers..

Exactly. This guy and many others "Get it". I know the TRUE value of the instrument. It is my choice to pay what I pay. It is MY BUSINESS what I do with these purchases. Again, they are writeoff's for my BUSINESS. There is a method to my "Madness", but nobody ever cares about what is REALLY going on, they just love to gossip and whisper about ANYTHING just to start SOMETHING. So...If you all could simply give it a rest, I HATE forums more than anything because of garbage just like this. I preach to prospective students of mine to stay out of forums because they will lear to only regurgitate what is passed around in these things and they will never learn any true facts. They will just fall into the trap of buying a certain kind of axe or amp simply so that they can take a picture of it and post it on WHATEVER FORUM they belong to and simply try to fit in somewhere. Forums don't do what they were designed for. They simply breed this poison. Most in here have proven to be a LOT more civil than the Head Banging guitar forums. So, I have to give credit where it's due. But, the few do exist here, which is why I'm here. I don't WANT to be here at all. So, simply stop, leave me alone, and if you want some great lessons on any instrument, you know where to find me.
Peace.
Scott

I will report this post and the offending members then. Not a problem. Oh yeah.....it's "You're"...not YOUR.

One of the pieces of baggage that come from being known or having notoriety is dealing with the folks who will inevitably dislike you (there will always be some no matter who you are). The best advice is to let it go. You don't HAVE to come here or anywhere and defend yourself. Look at what happens to some famous celebs when they try to do that. Hornet's nest, my friend, better left untouched, whether the hornets are wrong or not.

Understood, again....more that you don't know unless you are aware of my situation. Yep, videos on that too. Defending myself is a must in any situation. I exterminate hornet's nests. It's better than walking around them. Creating peace is always better than leaving behind a festering problem. So, I came in to clear the air. Some just prefer to keep lighting up their cigars.
I would love to just leave here and never have to come back. It depends on the 2 people who have a problem. I have reported those people as they requested.
Cheers.
Scott

I find a lot of Scott's videos to be interesting, informative and comical at times. That bass is a beut, dude has a very impressive collection and also a lot of money to spend it seems. I'm actually a little jealous :p

As for the people who seem to be "roasting" Scott perhaps you are just jealous as well. Sure you are entitled to your opinion and yes anything on the Internet mostly can be seen, but why is it someone or some people have to always take it to that level of always finding the negative in pretty much anything?

You can't exterminate the hornet's nest in these cases.

One last piece of advice from me, and with all due respect because I don't know you:

Be careful with videos like the last one linked. I know of cases where collectors have been forced to pay back taxes and penalties because it was determined the value of business used as a write-off did not warrant the value of the collection written off. The mistake is often drawing attention to it, thus bringing it to a judge's discretion.

Thank you my friend. Yet another person who gets it. See....bassists can be more mature than guitarists. I'm out of here as I'm uploading a ton of videos. Yep, they are to shake things up. You have to have your name out there. ANY COMMENTS are helpful, negative or positive. As long as "they" are talking about you....you are not forgotten and the cash register keeps ringing. It's kind of the point for "taking care" of these little situations in all of the forums. The well runs dry when they forget your name. lol So, I'll take my hornet's nest poking stick and move on to the next buzzing sound. It's not an easy job.....but, it's rewarding! Cheers all and remember "BASSISTS DO IT DEEPER"!:bassist:

Lucky for me, the judge in this podunk town is quite Guitarded!
