SOMEONE STOLE MY RICKENBACKER

If he tries to charge you for your STOLEN Bass, post up the
name and number of this D***bag, and I think we can get about 3000 people to call him and bitch him out.

Plus the 4000 emails.

Oh, yeah, post up the detectives name and number, I'll put a call into that guy too.

Hmmm, let's see. What do you think a businessman or pawn shop manager should say when stolen goods are being questioned with documentation and police involvement?

How about: "We are going to work with law enforcement to get your property back, ASAP. Please contact us in 24 hrs-if you haven't heard from us by then."

Pawn Shops - &%$#%@%!

well since it's located and the pawn shop owner is on notice and can't sell it the bass should be back home soon. However I wonder if the guy tells who he bought it from. In PA. you need I.D. to sell stuff (at least in the shop I go to @ 7th & South) and everything is above board. Hopefully the shopkeeper isn't enabling thievery.

To pawn in oregon you have to have ID has well that way they can trace it back to you if it comes up stolen.

But

Sometimes shops dont do it , a year back when i was in high school i needed gas for my truck so i pawned a practice amp for 20$ which was the price i paid for it, they never took my ID.

negative man i ended up not going to eugene.

So yea whats up with the ampeg?

Never mind the Ampeg...Did Jake get his Ric back? I've been looking for hm online today, thinking that it was a matter of Barney Fife getting his warrant and the boy would be reunited with his rightful bass today. I can't take this suspense!!!

DUN DUN DUN DUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm glad to say I got my Ric back today! Met the police officer at a Pawn X Change in Tacoma! We walked in and he just showed his badge (the clerk nearly crapped his pants) then brought the bass out and returned it to me. The case has some damage, only 1 of the 3 latches work but the bass is just as it was! Thank you so much to everyone who took time to help me hunt this down. It's been a crazy epic adventure and I cant believe I got the bass back! I feel like the luckiest man on earth right now! Ill get pictures up as soon as I can for everyone. I've learned my lesson to not leave equipment in my vechical the hard way but never again! AGAIN, thank you everyome! I wouldn't have my baby back if it wasnt for you guys!

Truly awesome! That is fantastic! I wish there was such a thing as Talkbass and the Internet back in 1992 when my prized Spector NS2 and Steinberger L2 were stolen out of a company vehicle when I was on my was to a rehearsal. I stopped to check on a jobsite for 15 mins and I came back and window smashed, guitars gone.

$160.00!

I'd like to beat that sumbich 160 times in his fat face for smashing your window and touching your stuff.

I'd like to Fire his Pumpkin Noggin to the concrete for payback for the Ampeg Stunt. Jackass!

Glad this ended well. This site rocks!
