Something for shedding?

I'm looking for something that will help me work on song shedding. One thing I'm currently lacking is the ability to set the song playback speed. Currently I just playback the album tracks as is, and usually its way too fast for both transcribing and playing practice.

Ok let mr mention that I have the preconception that a smartphone with an audio recorder, some kind of audio editor app (that can slow songs down), metronome and real book (fake chords) app is what I think I need.

Then again I'm wondering if using anything but sheets and metronome might make one weaker player by not forcing one to count the beat, and go through the chord structure... Anyway I digress so please tell me what you use for shedding, learning new songs etc?

I have four dogs, so shedding is a big problem for me as well. I recommend the Furminator.

Ok, I guess everyone else is on the level they don't need to slow songs down to practice.. Well thanks anyway, I'll figure something out (maybe just a laptop+audio editor)

I use JamUp Pro on an iPad to do this.

I use an iPad (iPhone works just as well) with the Tempo SlowMo app plugged into a headphone amplifier or the aux input on my practice combo.

You're overthinking. Just listen to the music.

I use Audacity. Can easily adjust the tempo or pitch to help learn the song what ever speed or key I want. Highly recommend it.
