Awesome posts! This thread really got busy in the last week. I feel like rotos don't have the popularity that they used to. With the modern options we have its easy to write these off nowdays. Getting used to rotos again after years of almost every other steel round ever made has been interesting for me. I don't know how I'd approach these for recording unless they were broken in enough but for what I do which is mainly self indulgence at home I'd still recommend them to others. By the way I've not noticed anything unusual with my frets since they've been on my bass. But to be fair i haven't noticed bad fret wear on any other bass either. And in those days i played more often and dug in harder than i do now. They always scuffed them the same as any other roundwound. That included a cheap Rogue bass, fender p bass, rickenbacker, & hohner b2a headless I've had.
