Something similar to Bronco 40 with more power

I own a Bronco 40 which I use at home to practice, recently our church's old cheap amp crapped out and I am using the Bronco until a replacement is purchased. The amp is pretty much used as a monitor because we hook-up to the house, but I am enjoying using the amp because of the built-in effects and being able to change modeling settings on the fly. I am too lazy to setup a pedal board, at times we have 10 minutes to setup or knockdown between services.

Do you know of any amp that is similar to the Bronco with effects, modeling, etc. with a little more power? I have been asked to recommend a replacement amp.

I will greatly appreciate your feedback.

Hi from one Mike to another! I've owned two Bronco 40s over the past four years and have enjoyed playing through it as much as any of the multitudes of amps that I've owned.

With that, I've gone to the Fender forum a few times begging for either a more powerful combo or separates OR at least a pedal similar to the Mustang's that I could use with either another amp or As a DI. Like you, instant effects with deep editing (hopefully updated FUSE software too) for the lazy guy in all of us.

Alas, I've given up on a new Bronco 200 as the Rumble series seems to have squeezed out even the nearest kin. I still think a Bronco pedal is a great idea, and that's where I'd go if I were you: a multi-effects pedal to give you your tones.

I can't, at the moment, think of anything similar that would fill the bill, but I can recommend the Zoom B1on pedal as a wonderful substitute, plus you can run it with anything you want...even a Fender Rumble!

Even before Yamaha bought Line 6, they discontinued their bass amp line due to poor sales and some unreliability issues.

You can always use the Bronco 40 as a pre-amp for something else. ZOOM B3 is also an excellent digital multi-effects unit that some are also using as a pre-amp. You can pretty much take your pick and be just as well off with either one.

You might want to look into the Roland Cube line. They go up to 120W, have a lot of different effects and amp modelings, and while not exactly the same as the Bronco, there are more than enough different options to fiddle with. :)

Would anyone be interested in seeing a more powerful and gig worthy Fender Bronco? Given the successful mating of the Super Bassman front end to the Rumble 500 power section producing the Bassman 500, why not a more powerful Bronco? Bronco 200 1x15 combo? or Bronco 500 2x10 combo? Both with the very same powered extension speaker just like the Rumble 200 & 500.

I gave up on the Bronco 40. The first one that I was using in church failed, it seemed like the power amplifier or speaker gave out; you would turn it on, and for a few seconds you would get sound, but shortly after that the sound would start decaying into heavy distortion and it would totally die.
Fended sent me a replacement under warranty (the amplifier is not field serviceable). The replacement, which was a refurbished, failed with similar symptoms, except this time the connection to the house would still work, but I would get no sound out of the amp.

I received a second refurbished replacement and sold it right away.

For the church we ended up buying a GK MB112-II which is working nicely and for home I grabbed a deal on a MarkBass Mini CMD 121P from Guitar Center which I am loving. I tried using it in Church, but the hissing noise from the piezo tweeter is too annoying. I'll probably disconnect it once the warranty expires.
