Of course! After all, they are professional musicians...

Kudos to you for leaving their bubble intact. However, I would have suggested that they try recording themselves sometime.
I don't sing in the shower. The car is my private singing booth. I've convinced myself that my doors and windows are soundproof... They are, right?! I know I should stop singing if I'm stopped at a red light.
You know, I actually spend a lot of time practicing singing parts in the car. I think the bigger problem is people wondering what the hell I'm doing when they see me belting something out in their rearview mirror. I know if the tables were turned, I'd be chuckling at the sight...

I noticed that if I don't listen to music or the radio in the car, I talk to myself.

I had a fantastic original rock band back in the 90s. we did 2 cd's, toured all over, had a great time, lived the life. Im now pushing 50, and just want something to pass the time. I dont work, So all i really want is a decent group of compatible musicians to jam with and play the weekends with. Doesnt matter if its original or cover. No aspirations, no expectations, just something to do besides sitting at home watching TV.
Carple Tunnel is still an issue for me, but I have really come a long way adjusting my playing style to deal with it. Pain is about 10% of what it used to be when I was playing all the time. Just from adjusting my playing style and posture.
here is an even tougher situation. you concentrate on playing best as you can at an
audition only to realize the band is decent, but not as good as you had hoped for
then what you do is ummmmm ahhhh wellllll i a ummm.
compunded by the fact that they want you for the job
