    Well I finally said the heck with it and am trying to piece together my own R&B/Dance band. To my supprise Ive found a few musicians (guitarist, drummer(s), & female vocalist) who are into the idea.

    Ive yet to hold any auditions, but thats comming soon enough. I wanna make sure that I have a great song list 1st. Thats why Im posted it here. Its predominantly classic but has newer titles in it as well.

    Im looking for everyones opinion of the list. (what to add or even take away) Especially from those who are currently in a working R&B band.

    Not the Gap Band. I think it was an all woman band called Klymaxx. They also did "Meeting In The Ladies Room" with a similar rhythm.

    Speaking of all woman bands, maybe "Boogie Ooogie Oogie" by Taste of Honey fits in your set list?

    jamiroquai has some pretty cool stuff. stilness in time (especially the end), the return of the space cowboy, the kids.

    and isn't 'rubber band' from the meters? they are awesome as well.

    If you had a real horn section, I'd suggest "What Is Hip" T.O.P. The few times I've been privileged enough to play it, the dance floor nearly collapsed from all the dancers, and it just PUMPS! Rocco's da MAN on that one... :D

    Why not have the keyboard play the bass part too! In fact, get two keyboard players and dump the rest of the band. :rollno:
