I LOVE your setlist, with a couple of exceptions, but holy crap. I started playing in the 90s, so a whole lot of that stuff is just how I learned to play (plus Metallica and Rush and Sabbath...)

To the guy above that suggested Nearly Lost You by Screaming Trees - it's not one that most people would know by name, but as soon as that lead guitar lick hits, 90s people will know it and it's a great tune.

There is a HUGE resource right there - movie soundtracks from the era. Reality Bites, Singles, Last Action Hero, Empire Records... Something from a soundtrack may not be a band's #1, but a different cut people would know is also good. Hell, LAH might be one of my favorite albums! 99 Ways To Die (megadeth), What The Hell Have I (alice in chains), the version of Dream On where Aerosmith is supported by the Kamen Orchestra.... holy crap.

EDIT: the Megadeth tune on LAH might be Angry Again, actually... i'll look it up later.

Speaking of Megadeth - maybe not grunge, but everybody would know Symphony of Destruction. Also try Only by Anthrax. People dig it when I do that one at karaoke at least (I was surprised!)

Sorry, sorry, I just saw a thing that they're coming to DC in October and lost my mind. Possibly my favorite group from the tail end of the grunge era, one of my favorites of all time.

I used to play rhythm guitar in a grunge-themed band. What happened was we'd play a lot of classic rock songs and they would magically turn grungey/punk before we kenw what was happening. The crowd loved us, but then, it was usually workplace events where everyone was lushed by corporate free beer.

Alice In Chains "Would"... QOTSA "No One Knows"... Rancid "Ruby Soho"... RHCP "Otherside"... Therapy? "Going Nowhere" and "Screamager"...
