Seven Mary Three - Cumbersome (this is an all or nothing one too)

Better than Ezra - In the Blood, King of New Orleans, Good
Green Day - Brain Stew & Jaded (you can't NOT play Jaded come on), 2000 Light Years, Road to Acceptance
Smashing Pumpkins - Everlasting Gaze, Stand Inside Your Love, Disarm, Zero
Radiohead - Electioneering, Paranoid Android (you would be amazed, if you pull this off, how well it goes down)
Presidents - Dune Buggy, Mach 5, Volcano, Lump, If you're going to do Peaches you can't half ass it either
Beastie Boys - Sabotage

Sets like these you can also bring in some out of genre songs that transition well with several 90s songs
Misfits - Halloween
Boston - Smokin (again, if you can commit to it it's great in the middle of a 3-4 high energy song run)
Alice Cooper - School's Out
Twisted Sister - We're Not Gonna Take It
Bon Jovi - You Give Love a Bad Name
MC5 (Presidents, Rage, every other band ever) - Kick out the Jams

And seriously, some of the Weird Al versions like Gump, Smells like Nirvana go over surprisingly well with the right crowd.

Cracker is a great, almost forgotten, band of the 90s. Johnny Hickman slays on guitar.

We do a bunch of 90s grunge-era songs, and in my last band, did even more. The one that definitely goes over is AIC Man in the Box. STP stuff is fun to play but can be 50/50 audience response (Sex Type Thing, Plush, Trippin on a Hole), same with Nirvana stuff. Soundgardens more popular stuff works well too if your singer can do it. Greenday stuff, while I thought would work really well live, didnt register much response for us (When I come around, Longview, Welcome to Paradise). Shame as they are fun to play on bass with a pick.

Branching out a little, Blink 182, Lit, Eve6 all does pretty well IME.

Really fun song to play, although as many of Soundgarden's tunes, it's a little bit hard on the vocals (this is one of the easier ones, though!).

Go to Spotify or Apple Music and find a curated playlist for 90s Grunge. The songs you find in that playlist are a good indication of what the world wants to remember about that music.

And, like someone said, don't attempt any Soundgarden. Nobody can do what he did, and it's most respectful to leave it there. I'm kidding, but only half.

I'd quit over Live. I've heard lightning crashes more than any other song ever recorded and I've always hated it but local radio loved to play it. Must have been free, cause I swear every station played it 2-3 per hour. If a band started playing Live, anything by them at all, I'd cash out and leave immediately.

+1 for Better Man. I sing/play it it one of my bands. It's a joy to perform and it always goes down well.

Agreed. Live was terrible. Also agree that soundgarden is hard to do well.
