You're absolutely right. I always hated disco growing up since starting to play bass I've been listening closer and there's some really cool stuff going on in some of those songs. I gotta learn that one.

I'd say...nice job on nailing me with the Rush tune, too. I still recall the day when a fellow bandmate was showing off his new discovery...Rush. Back then, sorry, their debut LP, to me, was a Led Zep ripoff. By the time they really took off, I was into Jazz & R&B so I missed a lot of their stuff the 1st go-round.

...how about Klaus Voorman's intro?

The reason you heard that is because way back then that's EXACTLY the sound they were going for, at least according to interviews I've seen/heard/read. Things changed big time when Neil Peart joined the band and by their third album they had pretty much defined what Rush would be.

Pardon me if I chuckle for a while. You're a Rush scholar and didn't even know it! :D
