Song Uno, Chapter 6

We must have lots of the same musical tastes. I was going to go for the Moody Blues tune but opted for Lighthouse.

Could be, I'll have to pay more attention to your posts. I said that for Howlin' Hanson, who seems to be the "veteran Cosmic Rocker" in this thread.

Pay attention to MonetBass's posts, too. Seems like our CD collections are about 75% the same CD's, much to the chagrin of JimK :D. But I also to also throw out some Motown, R&B, and classic 60's rock posts to make him happy too.

A Nightmare to REMEMBER - Dream Theater, Black Clouds and Silver Linings

I don't think I've seen Howlin' Hanson around here lately. Maybe this will bring him back ....

Nice to be missed, Dave! I'd like to say I've been busy practicing, but actually, business at my store (I sell Boy Scout uniforms) is really picking up. Plus I left town twice, once to see McCartney, and once to see (who else) the Moodies with the Dallas Symphony. /derail

Remember (Walkin' In The Sand) - The Shangri-Las

Walkin' On Down the Road - Red Hot Chili Peppers

Unrelated, would it be possible to get the rules added to the first post of the new thread? It's pretty easy to pick up, but I wanted to be sure of the exact rules and had to find the original thread to get them.

I'll oblige.

Song Uno Rules:

1. Using the previous song title, post another song title using one or more words from that title.
2. Include the name of the artist or band. [EDIT: Album title is also nice too -- :D MB]
3. If by chance 2 people post different titles at the same time, the earliest title continues the game.
4. No playing off your own title (only post one song at a time).

* Try to steer clear of using words like, THE, OF, IF, AND, etc. as the main word being played. Although they can be used as bonus words they shouldn't be used as the main word played.

* For clarity purposes, write the word being played in bold.

And try not to post the same song more than once, or at least not on the same page.

On with the game.
Why Don't We Do It In The Road? - The Beatles, The Beatles [White Album]

...heard this over the weekend while Channel surfing in the car; brought back old memories, Carol Kaye's picked bass is omnipresent. ;)

"Wichita Lineman- Glen Campbell, Wichita Lineman

EDIT-
Wiki sez Campbell played the bass solo on a Danelectro 6-string bass (& he used a Fender VI bass on a TV performance of the tune).

Lines In The Sand - Dream Theater, Falling Into Infinity

That album seems to be written off by a lot of fans as being less technical (and therefore less DT-like) but I always thought that was one of their better albums. More musical than most, especially more than anything they've done on their last several albums.

DreamLINE - Rush, Roll the Bones

I'll skip the easy Aerosmith tune and go for something that's probably one of the most complicated song titles in Song Uno history. :D

Cygnus X-1 Book II : Hemispheres: The Sphere: A Kind of DREAM- Rush, Hemispheres

Wow. I am at a loss.
...totally without speech.

Good one, Dave! ;)

"There's A Kind Of Hush (All Over The World)"- The Carpenters, A Kind Of Hush

...still a lotta words without the complexity.
I guess that's The Carpenters & Rush in a nutshell. ;)

Go Dave!

RE: The DT album, I don't actually have that one, but after listening to some clips, I think I need to get it. BTW, I can't stand their Awake album.

Cruel To Be Kind - Nick Lowe, Labour of Lust
