"Flash Light" - Parliament. So many stank face-inducing moments, including those nasty funk synth accents like the ones at approx. 0.04, 0.06, 0.33, and 0.35:

"Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin)" - Sly and the Family Stone. This song, along with James Brown's "Get Up (I Feel Like Being a) Sex Machine," got me hooked on funk.

"Holy Ghost"- the Bar-Kays. That breakdown with the powerful kick drum, the stanky percussion, and the nasty synth bass hittin' on the one, starting at 3:04:

"Maybe Your Baby" - Stevie Wonder, and "Tell Me Something Good" - Rufus feat. Chaka Khan. They both have a similar low-down, slow-down funky attitude:

Heh. I attended a Parliament Funkadelic concert at an undersized hockey arena around about 1978. The Mothership landed, and Bootsy, clad in what appeared to be a silver lame' diaper, 8" platform soles, and very little else (except the star glasses, of course) emerged. All present were thoroughly stank-face entertained, until the riot, but that's another story.....
