I'll post the back panel soon. Still need to get the special screws for XLR's and Speakons. And today is a holiday here in BC, no post office, no businesses open.

Yes, the DI is after the tubes, including the overdrive blend, but it can also be switched to include full processing, in which case it shares the master control with the amp output (DI feed switch).
The DI transformer is always in the path for the mic level (DI) output. We have also included an option to use the DI XLR output as a secondary line out but pre-processing, in which case an interior cable needs to be plugged into a different connector header, bypassing the DI transformer.

Would the integrated amp have the ability to run DI out post everything except the effects loop? That way I could use the EQ on the sonic farm for tone shaping and put a parametric in the effects loop to EQ only the stage and not have that signal go to FOH.

Also, could it be run with just the sonic farm EQ post DI and still have the harmonic generators, HPF, compression, tone switches, etc. pre DI?

Gator makes some briefcase-type hard cases with pick-and-pluck foam that should offer good protection -- they might be kind of spendy, though. Have the dimensions of the amp been posted?

I like that the front panel of the amp is recessed somewhat (going by the photo), to give all those knobs and switches some protection. (While I'm on the topic of the front panel, I'm glad you guys went with a high-contrast color scheme -- that's important for an amp of this complexity.)

At the risk of suggesting something unpopular/impractical, would rack ears for the amp be available? Better (to my way of thinking) would the possibility of putting it in some kind of svelte headcase -- if that's the right word -- one of those built-in rack-type enclosures you see around some heads that are just big enough to fit the head (I wonder if Pearson could build something like that). That would be more for protection during playing -- but for those who aren't going to take their über-amp to places with stumbling drunks, protection during transport might be sufficient. ;)

Other possibilities: a small aluminum briefcase/camera case? Some have foam inserts already. Don't know if it's the right size, but something like Invalid Link Removed?

Then there are the usual Gator, Mono, and laptop bags... Studio Slips, LeCover, Colorado Case or a number of others could custom make a padded bag (or maybe a semi-hard case) for the amp.

Just brainstorming, here.

Hey guys, just a heads up for Southeasterners and/or anyone attending Summer NAMM in Nashville that Mike will be in the house and will have with him some cabs as well as the new Tantra amplifier!!

Also the following day there will be a get together at a studio in Nashville to demo and try out the MAS gear.

I like that there are separate switches for the preamp and poweramp sections. That would be handy for recording.

Am I seeing a power-amp input -- can you run another preamp into the power section of this thing?

Nice that the line-out is an XLR connection.

wow that looks flippin amazing!! Cant wait to hear one!

having played a super loud outdoor gig last night with a 2Di4 and the ICE1000, I feel like I can safely say that the Tantra has the best bones on the planet for a bass amp.

Crummy picture of the Tantra in a Mackie mixer bag. Fits perfectly with about two extra inches for cables. Lots of bags will fit. I'll do a search when I get back from NAMM
