Here is a clip of me using the TDI for last week's church service. I'm using a Ernie Ball Musicman Bongo set flat, both pickups on through a Sonic Nuance Electronics instrument cable and TDI straight to the board. TDI is powered by the board (48V phantom power). Don't know what eq or processing was done beyond that by the sound engineers. Start around 16:10 (sorry I can't seem to embed it in a way that forces the start time)

Here's another one from Easter with me using a fretless (I know, I'm nuts) G&L L2500 with Audere preamp set flat into Sonic Nuance Electronics instrument cable and TDI. TDI is powered by the board (48V phantom power). Don't know what eq or processing was done beyond that by the sound engineers. Band starts around 16 minutes (sorry again I can't seem to embed it in a way that forces the start time)

This looks like a very cool product! I don't have a need for this in my current situation but I definitely respect the ingenuity that went in to designing it. I'll have to listen to the services you posted.

My current setup is bass- Tech 21 SansAmp DI- board when I play at church. I don't know the sound guys well enough yet to start changing things in the signal chain and I like what the SansAmp gives the sound. Very cool product, though!

I applaud you for respecting the sound team enough to not change things without at least giving them a heads up. I feel part of the job as a member of the worship team is to make the sound team's job easier.

Tech 21 makes great gear and they are a nice bunch of people as well. When people want a "colored" DI I tell them the TDI probably isn't the right tool for the job and I point them in Tech 21's direction.
