Sony DWZB30GB Digital Instrument Wireless System - $150 at AMS

Sony DWZB30GB Digital Instrument Wireless System is available at a closeout price of $150 at American
Musical Supply / Zzounds / Same Day Music. It is still priced around $399 at most other retailers.

I just received mine yesterday and at first glance the build quality is top notch.

Here is the link to AMS's site for reference

I just found one using Google, put it in, and hit Apply. It initially told me that Sony doesn't participate in promotional programs, but then when I checked out, it showed a "Happy Birthday" $10 discount.

I used the wireless system on Friday at a gig. The supplied power supply added some noise to my rig - probably bad wiring at the venue. I used a 9v power supply instead and the hum was gone. Other than that, there is no difference in sound between the Sony wireless and cable.

Contact PBass62 on the forums here. He made one for me out of a Mogami cable.
Thanks, I might check this out after exploring some OOTB options.

Check out BTPA.com for upgraded cables. I was going to purchase one, but decided to just build my own. Still waiting for parts to ship from Switchcraft to Full Compass...

Thanks, what is better about these cables other than the connector? Wire gauge (I can't tell from the pic)?

I am not sure. I didn't actually purchase the cable from the above vendor. I was just pointing out availability of replacement cables at a reasonable price. I am not affiliated with the vendor in any way.

I got around to hooking mine up today at home. No noticeable noise yet. I'll be using it at church tomorrow night, so we'll see what happens there.
