Both of my PS2s are still kicking, and I love my PS3 as well. Haven't had an issue with them.
It's cool to bash SONY. Like Microsoft.
i dont really go bashing ever much. but this IS what happened exactly. those lil ear buds were kinda very expensive for me here. i actually had to save up for about 45days or so to be able to buy that pair. its still stinging me that the left bud is dead and i'd sleep hoping that it just starts working tomorrow.
my brother was total maniac about gaming so he might have been a little hard on his PS2 but am pretty sure it was never abused because i was often playing along anyway its cool am done with sony. i can only hope i get something done about these buds
I don't know how this works in India, but here in the UK consumer rights legislation protects you against this sort of crap, whether the company chooses to offer a warranty or not.
In this case, you could legitimately claim that the goods were not of "merchantable quality" (i.e. it's reasonable to expect that such goods would have a longer lifetime than your experience) and you could take this up with the retailer first and then pursue other avenues if you weren't satisfied.
I don't see how one console over the other makes a person a "serious" gamer.I used to have a lot of faith in Sony's gaming products. But then they came out with the PS3, which is just an insult to gamers really. Serious gamers at least. The thing is, Sony have dug themselves into a pit. Anyone who wants a serious gaming machine buys a 360, casuals and families buy a Wii or a 360 and a few PS3's are accidentally bought along the way!
The 360's online gaming doesn't compare to PC online gaming. At all.Out of the consoles, the 360 has the best games, best online service, best user functions etc etc. The Wii is fun for a bit, and mildy innovative, but has so much dross out for it (mine just sits in the cupboard since good games stopped coming out for it!). And as for PC, you sure can have some good fun (many happy memories of Quake, Quake II and Duke Nukem). But then with PC you get the shaft of constantly needing to upgrade, as well as dumping big wads of cash to get a decent machine in the first place!
