sounds like Will Lee, fits in the back seat, $1000?

I'm looking for a portable rig that will fit in the back seat of my car and give me modern J bass sounds like Will Lee with Hiram Bullock playing "Funky Broadway". (There was a link to a youtube clip here but danged if I can find it).
Anyway, maybe start with a LMII because it will fit in my Dub bag. (no, a UL 410 won't fit in my car, wish it would.) I'd like to keep it in the $1200 or less range if possible. I'm looking at used Shroeder 1012L or 1212L's maybe. I have'nt been able to try them but, I suspect that they will be loud enough. Any suggestions here would be great! Thanks!

The LMII's set flat sound GREAT with the Schroeder L series cabs. Contact Brian Barrett (he's on here) as he has this exact rig in his shop in Nashville which is where I first heard it... sounds amazing. Brian's great and will hook you up too! :bassist:

I'm not sure I can get the Berg in my budget. But yeah, I've heard great things about them. I absolutly love my NV 610.

I suggested it because you said your budget was $1200, and the AE410 sells for $1099 at the Groove Shoppe.

Edit: I just realized you are talking about creating a full rig for $1200, not just shopping for a speaker cab. Sorry.

The Schroeder 115L+ will totally cop that vibe... totally, with the LMII. The 1210 and 1212, not so much IMO... too much low mid bump and upper mid hole.

Call Jorg and plead with him to hit your price point, and get a 4ohm one!

Love that clip ... what an awesome sound. Is that just a stock jazz or was he using a preamp in it by then? What do you recon they used for compression?

Gonna be mighty hard to put together a rig that sounds like that out on stage.
