Source Audio EQ2

Tuner seems Ok so far. I gave it a short test. Used a guitar. Seems a little sensitive but there may be a way to dial that back a bit. I only just broke the plastic bag so it may also be me... I think the tuner is good enough that my PolyTune Mini is a goner...

I have mine working good now. I think it doesn't like an output or 2 from my Pedal Power 2 Plus.

I am hooked into the hub. On the Neuro App it does not show the EQ2 pedal with my other pedals. It has a separate tab for it alone. I want to save EQ settings to scenes. Is that not possible?

How is everything connected?

You know what would be just that cats @ss ? The ability to slide the frequency centers of all the sliders the the right or the left by say half an octave.

here is my use case ...
Two rooms I play in have seriously strong room resonances. One is dead on G, the other is somewhere in the A to Bb range...

In the room with the resonance at G, I do surgical cuts (narrow Q) at 50, 100, 200, 400 and 800, getting progressively less deep after 200. Same thing in Room two but starting around 55 to 60 and multiples on that.

My bass is in the PA, I'm doing sound from stage and my Soundcraft board has lovely EQ options to leverage. and Yes - I save a scene for every room we play where I'm mixing from stage.

If I'm not doing sound though, I'd love to be able to send the house a signal that already has the compensation applied...

Okay, I’m sitting at the beach in beautiful Carpinteria CA., watching my kids frolic in the waves, sipping on a cocktail. Time to write a revue!
This little box is so loaded it’s ridiculous! It has allowed me to sell my Broughton HPLP Filter, my Zoom MS60b and my SA EQ1. The fact that I can have a HP on one end, and a LP on the other, and have eight bands of parametric EQ in the middle, is an absolute game changer!
Add in a dedicated HP filter, a hard limiter, and a noise gate that you can assign to every preset, and this is truly a must have for every board. Oh, and there is a tuner. And it works really well!
At the very least, you have access to 4 presets you can use, but I got the SA tap switch that allows me to toggle between 2 different presets for each of the 4 slots.
Programming is pretty straight forward on the pedal itself, but you can also deep dive on the Neuro app, even from a phone or tablet. So go get ya one, it’s a winner.
Oh, and cheers!

Awesome! I have one on order and can't wait for it to arrive! I had been planning on trying to buy a Broughton Resonant Filter Equalizer, but this will cover that and so much more. I've gotta get me one of those SA tap switches too!

My exact situation too! Got tired of waiting for the RFE and realized this could cover that ground and a lot more, so ordered it today, expected delivery tomorrow. And got the tap switch too.

It can do that! That was one of the big points i was looking for when i bought mine today.

Apparently I have some reading to do ;-)

Well I just gave the manual a read through and I don't see that functionality. What I would like to have is the ability to move the frequency center of ALL the sliders up or down in one move while retaining the Q and boost/cut.

I get to a new room. One with a nasty resonance. I call up my 'defeat the boomy G' patch and sweep with my expression pedal until the resonance is under control. Save that patch to a new location. Later I'll rename it in the editor. That would be freaking awesome! It's always in octave multiples. Sometimes not as distinct but in my G room, it is crazy!
I think I might be able to get there through midi. I need to understand how to code the frequency value. The midi mapping table says some thing about 20 to 20k in log values. I kinda need to decrease in percentage terms I think... I'll bet Mr Smith has some wunderkind in the back room that can figure that out...

I was thinking later, I could probably accomplish that through a midi program.

Johnno Dunn Say on brother... The EQ 1 made my Broughton hp/lp expendable. This is so much, more 'next level'.

I liked the EQ 1. I haven't been infatuated with an EQ since my original, ancient Trace Elliot which for it's day was amazing. The EQ 2 rekindles the love...

The lowest and the highest frequency band can be clicked in the Neuro interface to make them HPF and LPF.
So, my EQ2 arrived today and the highest band definitely does not behave like an LPF. Anything above 20k is not touched by the peak filter, and the shelving filter seems like it's just not capable of cutting the overdrive fizz that the Broughton filter excels at removing. If anyone has been able to make it do this, please share your settings!

I use the shelf and then also have to use one or two of the next highest filters and drag them over to the high end and lower them and adjust the Q on them to get rid of everything up high. You lose a couple of the bands, but in limiting the range of EQ left, i don’t miss them so far.
