Oh, and I wasn't suggesting that you were. I'm not even sure if I saw your post and if I did I didn't think it was directed at me. I was just pointing out that when I say that I'm not sure how something works but I know it is in the manual and can in fact be done (as was the case here), I am not EXPECTING or ASKING Roger to post the instructions for all of us...but I do have the knowledge that he will often go ahead and make it easy for us anyway.

Another great setting I've found that warranted my selling of my tafm...
Gated fuzz
Drive 1:00
Clean/wet 10:00 (lets the low-end of the oc2 to come through, sounds incredible...)
Output 12
Eq to taste but I think mines flat except a little bass boost.
Gate (med)
Followed by an ie polytope. Really great synth tone.

Very close to my settings, though my blend is at 2:00. It replaced my oxide(and all my other dirt)

I never use the TAFM in gated mode, I just set gain and pre-gain at noon and use it as a low gain fuzz - that's where it sounds best for me, but the OFD can't get anywhere near close to that sound!

The OFD does have some good gated synthy fuzz tones in there, better than anything else I've had including the Oxide... but I just don't have a use for gated fuzz. I play doom, not dance!

I've let my OFD go now, it had some good sounds in it (especially the tube drive model), but none good enough to replace the pedals I have settled on for my main dirt sounds.

I've found a nice tone - TS9000 with little grit, then turn the bass completely down, highs and lows up a bit. Blend somewhere around 2 o clock.

The EQ only affects the distorted signal. With the Blend turned fully ccw, the EQ has no effect. Therefore I'm mixing a very thin distortion sound to the fat clean signal with the highs somewhat cut. Gives a really nice and almost - but not quite - clean tone.

However, the blend knob somehow acts weirdly. Not really linear, on the right side it makes sudden jumps...

Just ordered one, got a deal for 149 shipped on ebay. I am doomed!!!

Is it feasable to use a 1 spot with this and 2 other analogue pedals? I know its better to have its own supply, but hoping a daisy chain will work for a little while at least!

So I just got back home from playing a show. It was a battle of the bands at the Hard Rock in Chicago, we advanced to the next round!!!! :) I used my OFD and the TS9000. I really have to figure out my clean blend, EQ and output. It seems I'm hit or miss with it since I got it. It sounded pretty good but the output wasn't all there for me. Sure I'll work it out eventually. Does anyone have any tips on using the OFD in a live setting? Where do YOU set your EQ, clean blend and output?? I'd like to see if I'm going the pedal an injustice somehow.

Eq and tone doesn't vary for me, but I've learned to feel out where I set my levels for bedroom and live. Bedroom is usually at 11:00 or 12:00. Live I'll go between 12:30 and 1:00. I find dirt needs that slight volume bump by nature to "feel" louder since it's a more saturated signal. Cranking mids also helps, but since you're running through a b7k I doubt you need much more in the mids dept. also if you're using the blends it can be beneficial to do more cutting than boosting. Especially with the lows.

So I am having one issue with my OFD, the Red LED at the Med Gate setting is always on. I can only get it to turn off by unpowering the pedal, then restoring power, but the light usually comes back in a few seconds. has anyone else seen this?

it is attached to a HUB, is it just displaying that its using MIDI for the external control? it makes it a little difficult to know what the gate setting is
