making a demo that show all this puppy can do will be difficult. As mentioned above the 3 band tone shaping really lets you sculpt your tone. And the blend is very interesting and very pleasing to work with.

My original thought was to make a song with drum track and 4-5 different presets. But then I also want to show the controls. hmmm

With the clean/ distortion control knobs and EQ options, could GJ or SmallEQ see this being used Sansamp/Rusty Box/ B7K style as a preamp? Minus the DI, it has basically all the same options. I find that idea very interesting.

well, so far I'm disappointed in my recording capabilities. I'm getting killer stuff out of my amp, but there are so many things rattling and my recording gear not capturing all the tones is disappointing :(.

So I'm going to reach out to some friends with studios to capture exactly what I'm hearing live.

Pbass recorded into a BOSS RC-2 loop > Bass OFD Tube Gain > Ashdown Little Bastard tube head > Peavey TNT 115BW used as cab only (real cab is in the shop) > Heil PR40 off the dust cap

Bypass tone, then four variants all using just the Tube Gain voice. 1) Very low gain tone shaping 2) Little more gain and EQ 3) Mostly clean with a pure-treble drive blended in 4) max gain and max gate to show the extreme this particular voice is capable of.

great clip. really show how tunable this pedal is. And that's just one stop on the FX wheel

P bass with a pick > Bass OFD > Ashdown Little Bastard tube head > Peavey TNT 115BW used for a cabinet > Heil PR40 off the dust cap

1) Bypass 2) Fuzz Pi high gain, med gate, very mild clean blend, flat eq 3) Same with scooped mids 4) The rest with various EQ ranging from pushing the bass to lots of highs to nearly pure mids.

We are going into a special studio today to record and film new soundclips for the OFD. It is interesting that our usual set up is fine for modulation effects and the Multiwaves, BUT not good enough to capture the essence of this pedal. Hopefully we can nail it.

I notice that 8th Street has the product listed. We are shipping out lots of them today all over the place.

So today I realized I really could use the OFD (I already wanted one, now I know why lol). I have an old Behringer BDI21 on my board that I don't usually even have connected because it is very noisy but today I decided, screw the noise, and used it in front of the MWBD and BEF. Cascading the MWBD distortion into a valve-like overdrive is like the best distortion I have ever heard...
So I guess and OFD and a DI will soon replace the BDI21.

This comes in sequence with what was being said on the other thread about having both the MWBD and the OFD for more versatility.

I have a sb2 mwbd coming in next week and some serious gas for an OFD while my funds replenish. I'm in the same boat as you though and plan on doing a lot of comparing and contrasting between the OFD>MWBD VS MWBD>OFD
