Theoretically MWBD into OFD is maybe the most similar thing to the classical setup distortion pedal into valve amp. That being said, I think that comparison is very interesting and will make a similar thing with the BDI21 when I have a chance.

After many failed attempts we finally have a good set of sounds that capture this pedal. Sorry it took so long!
Any pedal with a bender has to be bought, in honour of futurama. 
Actually form those sound clips I am happy I have already ordered one. I originally was just diging the gated fuzz but there are quite a few of those tones I liked and can see me using.

I am quite intrigued by this pedal. I think it nails some of the sounds really well. As someone who does not have any modelers, have MI engineers reached the highest resolution for digital modelling?
How distinguishable is it from non-digital sounds. I know that amp modelers on my computer can sound perfect but I'm not running them at 500 watts in a night club and this pedal doesn't have a Pentium. Any pedal can sound good/convincing quiet but they sometimes have unexpected results at high volume.
I'm not sure what my questions is. I guess I just need to hear something that'll convince me to put down the breadboard and soldering iron and just embrace digital modelling once and for all then find a new hobby.
I also come from/play in a genre that is quite vintage/analog biased so I need some time to get over all of that before I can give it an honest go.

Mine just arrived today. I am hoping to put it through its paces tomorrow night. I will do a side by side comparison to my B7K and report back as to house similar I can get the OFD to sound. I am very excited to try it out for some low drive.
Yes Yes, right away the intro/Octave Fuzz captured all the low end and harmonic goodness this pedal has. Great demo!!
the gated fuzz has a fast gate. I couldn't tell you what the specs are, but it feels like it instantly stops when you do. I think on the demo it gates on a sustained note and that can be random.
I use gated fuzz on Imagine Dragons Radioactive and I can get quick stutter/fuzz playing fast/muting technique.
The high setting of the noise gate is pretty tight on its own as well. You can use it with any of the voices to really tighten the playing feel. Though it's not the same sputtery sound you can get from the gated fuzz specifically. In my demo clips use a high gate on the tube drive.
I just got mine from the post office at 3am (24 hour post office down the street, bizarro!).

Sorry but even that new demo of the bass one is still not doing it for me. Sounds a bit one-dimensional, with a lack of warmth in the low end. (The metal preset is OK).

So is there a midi socket on it? That's always a welcome option, but having it all on the box would be better for me.
But many are very simple (so it matters less) and analogue (so they have an excuse!)
I've had this pedal for about a week now, and I'm still only scraping the surface of what it can do -- it's all quite pleasing though! Looks like it might replace about 3 or 4 pedals in my old setup. 
This has been my main use for this pedal so far -- just a fattening, clean-ish drive. I think it works pretty well, and I was able to find some good tones right out of the box, but I feel as though I've yet to tweak my settings quite to perfection. There are a lot of options to explore, even just within the boost/drive segment. I'm still trying to determine where to find the drive "break up" that mixes best with my clean tone...
I've been using a pork loin for this purpose previously, but the OFD plays much nicer with my active basses without requiring any kind of compression/attenuation in front. I also love having the clean/high cut clean mix dial right at the tip of my toes; I often find myself tweaking that on the go, which lets me cover a pretty broad spectrum of sounds from an eq'd clean boost to fully driven within a single preset.

This thing seems pretty great. I haven't followed the source audio stuff that closely, am I right in thinking that the midi box is not available yet? I will 100% buy this if I can get into it via midi to change presets and parameters. Would work well into my signal flow and I want to have a midi controlled blend on fuzz pedals for sweeps.

Control over the blend? Piece of cake! You can do that today with an SA expression pedal and very soon with MIDI using our new Hub.
