Source Audio Programmable EQ

You could always get a Multiwave Distortion Pro and just use the clean channel for the EQ presets (since I know you don't like distorted bass)

Thought it would be a bit big for the application...

Actually, Tom Hamilton and Rick Savage ONLY use the Multiwave Pro for clean boost and EQ in their touring rigs.

If you want small and one footswitch, the small EQ is for you. Being small is a key point.

If you want 3 footswitches (or the jacks on top), then any "Pro" pedal will do the trick. (plus you get either distortion or filters along for the ride!)
 
I may have not expressed my point well. Every design has a range of priorities, and they are all competing for resources. So a designer has to say item A has higher priority than item B which in turn is higher than item C. But that doesn't necessarily mean that item C is not included, or that it gets no resources.

Hence: here the idea of "small size" was given higher priority than "more features and controls". But that is not to say it doesn't have useful features and controls--only that the ones it has were limited by the size directive.

If we made it possible that you could pass through each preset by pressing the footswitch, how would you want to quickly access bypass mode?

I personally wouldn't care 'bout bypass. Bunch of people would use it like scenario pbasswill presented: just two EQ presets, with quick stepping trough them. So, I guess preset 3 would have to be clone of preset 1 and preset 4 would be clone of preset 2, which is a bit of a hustle. Would it be too much of a problem to change these "modes" via sysex dump? Like, 3 modes: normal mode with bypass and "slow change", 4-preset-quick-change mode w/o bypass, 2-preset-quick-change mode w/o bypass?
Further more, if you could somehow make it possible to set different EQ parameters via sysex (center freq and Q for each band) for each EQ mode (where "stock" modes are the one starting at 62Hz and other starting at 125Hz) that would be super-ultra-cool for us nerdy types (I wouldn't care for very fine tuning, 1/3rd of octave for frequency resolution and 3-5 presets for Q).

If I wanted to bypass the EQ for certain songs, I'd program a flat curve.

My thinking is:

Some people will want to get their basic sound with other equipment/amp, with the EQ pedal switched off. Then they'll intermittently turn the pedal on to add an alternate sound or two.

Other people will want to use a preset on the pedal to get their basic sound, and then maybe have some alternates sounds in other presets. In other words, the latter folks will have the EQ on most of the time. For them, the best use of the footswitch is to change presets, as quickly as possible.

So I was suggestion offering the user the choice of keeping the footswitch in increment mode or On/Off mode -- whichever suits their needs better.

Just to be clear: the single switch can be used for BOTH on/off AND scrolling thought presets. If you stomp the switch as usual, this does the typical on/bypass contoll. No surprise there. If you HOLD DOWN the switch, then it will start scrolling (either with the effect ON or in BYPASS). The scrolling in ON mode is kind of cool. The scrolling speed is programmable. Sorry we were not more clear about this.

I don't know if your site text explained the foot switch or not, but I did clearly see how it worked in a video.

I was the poster who was saying that for live use, I would need an instant way of changing patches. Step-hold-wait-while keeping your eyes pinned to the scrolling lights so you don't over-shoot is a clever way of putting maximum functionality in a small, well-priced pedal.
But it's not where I can allocate my scarce stage attention, when I may be changing sections in a tune into or out of a place where my bass takes more prominence, or a solo.

Anyway, it could be argued that what I really need is a bigger, more elaborate pedal -- or a few simple EQs, each holding one of my curves.
But my suggestion of offering a footswitch choice of either the current Bypass mode, or an Instant Preset Increment mode, would make your little EQ pedal work better for people like me.

But before I'd likely buy one, I would want the Instant Preset Increment mode to be: one preset increment per foot-click -- not the current timed scrolling. Which would be more precise, no one would overshoot; and the maximum 3 clicks to get to any other preset is quite manageable.

Ok, I'm done as a back-seat pedal designer. :D
 
Color me interested! Been looking around for an EQ pedal and this may just fit the bill. All the frequencies seem centered to my liking and it's programmable! The video mentions that theres a 60Hz "slider" but I can't seem to see it in the video. How would we acces it? Also, any word on the release date? Always happy to pick up another pedal from one of my favorite pedal makers, haha.

What about both switches together for on/off, one to cycle through presets in cue mode (without engaging) and one to activate the currently selected preset and swap between that and the last selected one?

That would give you clean and two presets available at the click of a button.
 
I've read the manual and Im still confused. The eq has two ranges. A normal range and a bass range. Do you have to choose one or the other, or can you mix and match? It also looks like you can use the higher range and then add the 62 hz as an 8th frequency. The manual wasn't real clear. Also, What are the bandwidths of the frequencies?
