Sooo. Excuse my lack of Midi knowledge, but what you guys are saying is that if I wanted to add a zoom B3 to my board I could control it via USB midi? I suppose that is how FretnoMore is making midi changes to the zoom pedals. How are the synth sounds in the MS60B? I purchased the behringer BSY 600 and not a big fan.

Yeah, there's a lot of stuff on YouTube about controlling Zooms with MIDI. Mostly DIY backdoor kind of stuff through the USB. It's not official, it just happens to accept MIDI via USB. IMO the sounds are passable and have okay latency, but I don't use it much, my zoom is (was) just for EQ and compression and noise gate.

The ghost converter is an option, but its really expensive in my opinion!

Yup, it's expensive, but there's reasons for it.

1) Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think there's any other convenient MIDI to USB-MIDI converter out there, at least not when I was in the market for it last year. I'm pretty surprised by this, actually. Then again, it's quite a niche product...

The Kenton MIDI USB Host is basically the same as the gHOST converter at a slightly lower cost. However, the power requirement of 5 vdc is not very compatible with typical pedalboard power supplies compared to the gHOST which uses 9 vdc. For that reason, I will most likely pick up a gHOST in the near future to use with my Wahoo (really annoying that Sonuus did not add 5-pin midi to the Wahoo, considering the size of the unit and the fact that the similar size Voluum does include 5-pin jacks).

That might be me. I too do have some noise gremlins I'm trying to get rid of. The worst culprit is the HH3 at the moment but the other SA pedals aren't exactly dead quiet either. Could be a power problem, I may have to try a more serious power supply. With all these power hungry pedals, digital clock signals and both audio and control cables everywhere in a tight space I'm not surprised there can be issues with noise creeping in somewhere.

Yeah, the digital pedals really need to be on their own isolated line. I still have some issues once the HH3 is added to the mix, but that's dependent on what point I have it connected too. I've been running a Cioks DC10 and before that a Voodoo Labs 4x4 and it made a huge difference, but of course those aren't as small and easy to integrate as the one you're using.

Uploaded a few manta-only scenes that I'll be using for the immediate future. I'll add more if I make more. Well I exported them as pedal presets rather than scenes, but since it's just one pedal this makes more sense.

By the way, I realize that for songs like Madness, just using the envelope to control the filter is sufficient, but I'm going to stick to the hothand for now since I want a bit more control over it for some songs (e.g. holding a long note and moving the filter on it). The filter can do some shapes that you can't do at all with the hothand though.

Just got a Manta & Dual Exp pedal to keep my Orb Mod company ... still experimenting with these two tho may need some settings advice to get a good wah sound. But just a quick question re the exp pedal .. it's just a bit too high for me to close the case lid, so am I ok to remove/unscrew the rubber feet ? I don't want the pedal coming apart if those screws also hold other parts together

I removed the feet from mine. Just remove and replace each screw one at a time and nothing should come apart.

In my experience the screws were too long to allow you to apply velcro after the feet were removed. Maybe they've changed that?

The velcro on mine is fine with the screws left in. They do come out a bit, but the industrial velcro works anyway. Before I had to cram more stuff on the PT-2, I put velcro and still kept the feet and just had them fall between two beams.

Are you saying that when disengaged your signal cuts out completely?

The manual tells you how to select buffered or true bypass mode. I would try both and see if there is a difference, then go from there.

You could try a factory reset too, also in the manual (troubleshooting section).

I took both pedals out of the mix loop & when 'off' I get a bypassed signal so nothing wrong with the pedals. The Basswitch mix loop at 100% wet does not let bypassed signal through which I don't understand but it's not an issue as I can turn the mix control to add clean bass ... also even at 100% wet I can still use any of the four presets .. I was afraid the manta into orb (with orb 'off' might) not send the signal through the bypassed orb but fortunately this is not the case so I can still use each pedal individually.

I also took the feet off dual exp & put screws back just fine .... thanks for all your responses guys
