Source Audio Sorcerers Society (S.A.S.S) Part 3

I do know l had none of these problems before the updates. Now I have Ghosts lurking in the machine. My knowledge of midi is not very extensive. I did see the midi setup window for individual pedals. I don't use midi clock for anything at this time . I will dig in deeper tomorrow.
Can you reach out to ncabral so we can replicate your exact setup? There should be no firmware issues like this. If there are, we want to know asap!

I have updated the editor software, Hub, and pedals. Since then I have all sorts of glitches with the pedals. When editing the Manta via my Win 8 pad I get added interfering components. I was editing a patch on the Manta and the green light on the left foot switch was pulsing on and off slow and there was an added LFO sweep in the back ground. I could not get it out??? I shut the editor down and programmed manually a Wobble sound I was looking for with the HH3 and saved with the button on the Hub with no trouble. I secondly edited a patch on the OFD and saved it in the editor mode "via pc". The next day I called up the sound and started playing. About 10 seconds into playing the volume spiked! When I say spiked, I though I had blown a driver "and my ears":wideyed: after the incident.:crying: It kept doing it randomly until I just hit the save patch button on the hub. Then all was well again. Any help would be great.
Can you please email me at [email protected]?

For the past week and a half I've been using just the Manta alone, and I noticed that phaser 12 actually can get me a pretty decent chorus-like effect on really slow speed settings with the depth close to 0. Have any of you guys done this? This lets me program in a single preset to run an overdrive into a chorus - I tweaked it out on the pedal itself and got an overdrive close to what I was using on my OFD, one that just increases harmonic content and heavily emphasizes the attack transient (probably in the upper mids) and added in the psuedo-chorus-like phaser.

One more thing - I realized that I got my MWBD because I wanted to be able to turn distortion and filter on and off separately, but now that I have a hub and a MIDI controller pedal, I could do that with just the Manta alone. Of course, I don't have the increased flexibility of distortion options or EQ that the Manta gives, and I can't morph between settings, but I'm starting to consider a new pedalboard with just the manta, hub and MIDI controller.

Will there ever be a firmware update that lets you control different parameters with hothand and expression pedal? That would give the manta so much flexibility!

Almost the same boat here. I've used the OFD so little compared to the dirt setting in getting with the Manta, almost considering unloading it. Just can't do it, but probably will for the One series.

Also in the same boat, I've strongly considered just using the Manta for my next run of services this weekend, but again, just can't do it. Got too many swells and other things I need.

Can your swells work with your manta...? I'm assuming expression pedal.

I really need to try the @adamaarts approach to the Manta more. I love the OFD, I sold all of my other non-sentimental dirt pedals right after I got it. I have more HUB presets for the OFD alone than my Manta and Dimension presets combined. That said, @adamaarts 's muse video was killer and it won't hurt for me to have a different dirt voice on board. I mainly use the Manta for Envelope LPF (#5 in extended mode) or a super slow Sine wave Phaser (#22 in extended mode).

If the Reflex were to be released in stores only, I would camp outside like a Black Friday shopper. Thank you @rsmith601 for saving me this trouble and embarrassment of either by offering a preorder. Now to subsist on Ramen and water until I can afford it...:bassist:;):vomit:

Maybe this is the wrong place to ask, but have any of you guys (or your bands' guitarists) tried using the guitar OFD through a PA, or an extremely clean amp? My band's guitarist is looking for something to be able to get a really tight chugging guitar tone reliably through any amp, so I was wondering... since the tube models are based on Marshalls, Mesa Boogies, etc., would they be able to get you reliably there?

I suppose a better question to ask would be how are they based on the tube amps? Just the preamp section, or the power amp section as well?

Well also, have any of you guys tried running your OFDs direct to PA?

Hi. How do I join your list? Have bass ofd ,orbital, bef ,hh .Love how they E-ffect each other. Hey, forgot to list Auto Wah .Guess Hub is next ,Sir.
We should probably start a new thread and (part 4) and get the list up front. This one was created using the old web site and it cannot be edited. The updated list is buried in here. I will try to do this later this week. Thanks!
