Hi Nic,

This might be related to the positioning of the receiver. Would you please post a picture of your setup?

I have worked with a few of our artists who use the Hot Hand in touring situations to improve reception on stage, even in situations where there is a lot of interference from other wireless equipment. Here are a few "rules of thumb" that have helped them out and will hopefully improve your experience as well:

- Raise the receiver off the ground if possible. Good spots include the microphone stand or wedge monitors.
- Orient the receiver vertically so that the expression jack is either facing the floor or the ceiling. This helps to orient the antenna for the best reception.
- Try to put the receiver in a spot where it has a clear line of sight to the ring.
- Keep the receiver away from wireless transmitting equipment - for example, Wifi routers!

The Hot Hand uses a global wireless standard, so I don't think your geographical location should have an impact on wireless performance.

@rsmith601 @TheSleeve Thank you for the really fast responses!

Previously when I had problems connecting and I emailed in to ask, the recommendation was to put the receiver higher up and that really did help. Connectivity improved drastically, but still not perfect - it still cuts out a few times each rehearsal at problematic venues. So I get a little nervous in new venues since I don't know if anything would happen.

What I do is that I clip it to a mic stand next to my pedalboard. So it's not really on my pedalboard. Anyway yesterday I was using it just with the Manta alone, not with the entire board...

I've tried first and third and that definitely helped. 2nd tip is interesting, I'll try that. As for the 4th tip, I was surprised it connected to my speakers that just happened to be in the same room.

Great to hear it's a global standard... wondering why no one else seems to be having these same problems. Maybe this is normal and I'm just expecting too much connectivity? :x

It's funny because I have my receiver in the pedalboard, on it's side, near the PoweSupply, I have a Line6 G30 on the pedalboard also and usually there are at least 2 phones and one pc in the room with both BT and WiFi on and I have never experienced connections problems...

Yeah I don't know why I keep having problems with this, no one else seems to have these problems...

Have you changed something on your board, like added some other pedal or changed the order?

Try the Manta separately too, just in case there is some combination of pedals that is causing the noise.

Try a different amp, and different instrument as well. Just in case one of those is leaking voltage down the cable for some reason. I mention this as I have a vague recollection of having some amp that leaked mild voltage and caused one or more of fx (not a SA) pedals to make audible pops when toggling bypass. Ended up being an amp problem of some sort, which was unexpected.

But it's good to rule out all of the variables regardless.

I have updated the editor software, Hub, and pedals. Since then I have all sorts of glitches with the pedals. When editing the Manta via my Win 8 pad I get added interfering components. I was editing a patch on the Manta and the green light on the left foot switch was pulsing on and off slow and there was an added LFO sweep in the back ground. I could not get it out??? I shut the editor down and programmed manually a Wobble sound I was looking for with the HH3 and saved with the button on the Hub with no trouble. I secondly edited a patch on the OFD and saved it in the editor mode "via pc". The next day I called up the sound and started playing. About 10 seconds into playing the volume spiked! When I say spiked, I though I had blown a driver "and my ears":wideyed: after the incident.:crying: It kept doing it randomly until I just hit the save patch button on the hub. Then all was well again. Any help would be great.

I think the new hub update was causing lots of issues like this. I downgraded my firmware and haven't had issues since.

Sounds like you might have saved into tap tempo mode. That would explain the slow blink and background filtering.

Sounds similar to, but not exactly the same as, the problems I've been having. I agree there may be some wonkiness with the newest firmware, and it definitely sounds like you got into tap tempo mode on the Manta. It may not be exactly the same issue you're having, but it was confirmed that there is a bug with at least the Manta tap tempo. Let us know what you find out.

How do I get out of tap temp mode? I guess I will have to refer back to the pdf. manual. It only does it when tweaking with the editor app. The OFD Problem was strange, and potentially damaging to my rig. The volume spikes were extreme and just kept randomly kicking in an out. I checked the entire signal path and nothing was out of sorts. I use monster cables between bass and pedal board and from the pedal board to my bass rig. Only after rechecking the volume output on the OFD and resaving via the HUB save patch button did the problem get resolved? thanks for the help.

From the OM manual

To enter TAP TEMPO mode put the pedal into bypass, then press and hold the footswitch (and corresponding preset) to which you would like TAP TEMPO applied.

Follow the same procedure to disengage TAP TEMPO.

I don't suppose you happen to have a MIDI CC being sent to the number corresponding to the OFD volume?

I do know l had none of these problems before the updates. Now I have Ghosts lurking in the machine. My knowledge of midi is not very extensive. I did see the midi setup window for individual pedals. I don't use midi clock for anything at this time . I will dig in deeper tomorrow.
