Great settings. I used your settings as a guideline and implemented my HH3 into the mix. I had to raise the speed to around 50% and it pretty much nails it. Thanks!! I just picked up a Behringer BSY600 synth pedal to put in front of the Manta! I will post a Video when I get it tweaked. I hope it works the way I expect. I also noticed that the MWD works better as a boost than the OFD. With the OFD I can't seem to get rid of the effected sound. Always an underlying slight effect heard in the background. With the MWD I can dial in clean boost and use the EQ to further shape the tone.:bassist:

@rsmith601 sorry if I missed it but I'm really looking forward to picking up a solemate. Are there any more details you can provide on it? Also will the nemesis integrate with the hub to allow more than the 4 presets it will be capable of on its own? Thanks!

Name is changed to "Soleman". There is another Soulmate pedal out there, and we did not want to make for any confusion.
Mass production is scheduled for June, so I am thinking late July for the first sales? Nemesis + Hub........ABSOLUTELY!!! :)

Hi everyone! I have been interested in diving into Source Audio products and using MIDI to save scenes, and as of a few weeks ago - I TOOK THE PLUNGE! I have to say - these pedals are KILLER. What took me so long? Not just the sounds, but the versatility is amazing when you incorporate all off the software and capabilities. I have begun to pour through this forum and I want to say a BIG THANK YOU to you all - as many of my questions were answered and I'm off and running!
I have the following: Manta, OFD, Orbital, SA EQ, SA EXP, Hub and a Multi Bass Dist on the way! I told you I dove in! I also grabbed a Midi Mouse, which I bought from a TB'er along with a few of the SB2 pedals. I have very limited knowledge of MIDI on bass, but I love a good challenge - especially one that will make things easier and allow me to focus more on the playing and not playing tapdance with the pedalboard!
I want to apologize in advance for perhaps asking some questions that may have been answered earlier - I'll do my best to research the answers in this forum first!
Thanks for all the scenes you are sharing - I plan to do the same, once I get my act together. Shout out to @adamaarts, @Adamixoye, @Nic., @rsmith601, and others who helped a brother out with the intel!

I am on vacation in (of all places), Nebraska! and a bit pressed for time.

Someone asked me a bunch of questions in a PM, and I thought it would be best for them to be answered publically.
Here they are:

Here are my questions:
The Expression Pedal: How does this work in context of all of this? Can I hook this directly to the hub in some way and have it control each of the pedals, and/or all of them in some way? I've poured through a lot of documentation and can't seem to find out where exactly I do that - and how to do that. I see that within the hub software there is a section where I can click on the expression to control a pedal, but I don't think I've got it connected properly in order to do that.
How will the upcoming expression pedal change things in relation to this? Of course, I'm seeing the videos and I'll eventually be grabbing one of those as well apparently.

When using the hub you can connect any standard Exp pedal through with a 1/4" TRS cable to the Hub. If you have the SA Dual Exp pedal, you can connect it to the Hub through the 1/8" TRRS cable. The new unreleased SA Reflex will be able to send Exp signals through the hub via the 1/4" TRS, 1/8" TRRS, or Midi.

Assuming we're talking about the SB2 pedals, you just need to connect the exp pedal to the hub, then the hub to the SB2 device. Set the SB2 pedal to Exp for 1/4" TRS; to HotHand for 1/8" TRRS; And presumably Midi for the new Reflex.

Ah yes, I think we've talked about how you have some Nebraska connections before. Where at exactly? If you need a place to stay, I'm sure I could help you out for the low, low price of a free Reflex/Nemesis/both. :D

@stonerman2001 sorry I missed that message! I've been out on a road trip around Iceland for the past two weeks, about to head back now, and when I'm back I'm planning to create a small pedalboard based around just the Manta (of course, with the Hub, expression pedal, hothand, MIDI Mouse...)... look forward to some new patches soon. Just before I left, I found a pretty sweet slow subtle chorus-like phaser overdrive, once I get that running to my satisfaction I'll upload it too. It's nice how this pedal lets you mix a modulation together with an overdrive/distortion in the same pedal.

Yes. I did that for a while with a homemade Arduino pedal, because I wanted to control both the Hub and Zoom MS60B simultaneously. It actually works through a normal powered USB hub, although the programming was slightly tricky to debug.

However... I don't know what MIDI controller you're using, you'll have to be careful with that. With my Arduino as well as with my laptop, I get a high pitched whine creeping into the signal chain when I plug in USB MIDI. I believe the Disaster Area ghost device probably works much better, someone else here uses that (forgot who, sorry, but that person had a really really cool two-tiered pedalboard for that!)

I have an FCB1010...

The ghost converter is an option, but its really expensive in my opinion!

That might be me. :) I too do have some noise gremlins I'm trying to get rid of. The worst culprit is the HH3 at the moment but the other SA pedals aren't exactly dead quiet either. Could be a power problem, I may have to try a more serious power supply. With all these power hungry pedals, digital clock signals and both audio and control cables everywhere in a tight space I'm not surprised there can be issues with noise creeping in somewhere.

Ah, I didn't know they did USB MIDI out. That's cool! I was considering getting one of those, but it's kinda big and heavy and not that common (at least not here, they very rarely show up in the second hand market).

Yup, it's expensive, but there's reasons for it.

1) Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think there's any other convenient MIDI to USB-MIDI converter out there, at least not when I was in the market for it last year. I'm pretty surprised by this, actually. Then again, it's quite a niche product...
2) I've found that it's surprisingly difficult to reduce noise leaking into your signal chain through USB. In fact, probably the most important thing I've learned in all my DIY efforts is a deep appreciation of what professional luthiers and pedal builders do.

All that said, yeah I agree it's kinda expensive. That's why I decided to try building my own. But I've found that I didn't really need to control my Zoom MS60B together, and now I'm not even using it (for now at least)

YESSSS definitely your board. You've no idea how much I love this board.

I'm not sure if you remember what my board looked like, but I'm using the same power supply, also using a polytune mini and expression and hothand... basically it's a less tidy version of your board with one less zoom and without the MXR. I don't get any noise issues at all normally, until I plug in the USB... and then that whine appears. I can't EQ it out, noise gate works but once I play a note it's there in the background. Eventually I got sick of that noise and replaced my USB MIDI setup with a MIDI Mouse.
