No, I mean if you send several PC messages from a patch in the ES-8 then you should put the Hub's PC first in the list, in Patch MIDI 1, and PC messages for other pedals in the following slots.

As to MIDI channel, I have left the Hub' channel as well as the SB2s' at channel 1 because this is the only setting I've found where I can send CC messages directly to a pedal from my iPad. I believe you have to load a scene first if you want to use other channels for the SB2 pedals. This is maybe of no concern if you only want to change scenes via the Hub.

The ES-8 I set to channel 16 to sort of get it out of the way, I don't have much need to send any MIDI messages to it.

It is on the road map. We would need to sell it for like $200. Will anyone buy such an eq? Very powerful, but not cheap.

Definitely this. Also, as stated above, I'm not sure what the point would be with the EQ present in the One Series already. I mean, sure you could create something more powerful and flexible, but at some point no one is going to care or they'll already have some other solution.

when my mercury flanger gets here ill have a 4 band parametric EQ at the beginning and the end of my effects chain as well as a stereo one in the middle with the aftershock +2 3 band EQ's in the manta and dimention so I think my EQ needs are covered but I would like a pitch shifter that will work with the hub...oh and a bigger HUB!

Ah I gotcha. Thanks for the info. So I rewired all the midi today. So now the chain is like this:

ES-8 > Midi solutions quad thru box
  1. > Hub
  2. > Reflex > H9 > Mobius > H9
  3. > Hog 2
Then I'll set up patch midi 1 to go to the Hub, and everything else will follow. Do you think this midi setup will be simple enough for the hub to function properly? Like I said, I plan on troubleshooting all of this, but I still need to do all the audio cables!

As long as the Hub is last in a chain and the pedals/boxes ahead of it can handle the MIDI stream you should be OK. Have you considered using any MIDI expression with the Hub or the pedal(s ) connected to it? In that case maybe you want to place the Hub downstream from the Reflex (i.e after the second H9 in your case). Or you could use an analog expression pedal connected to the Hub.

I'm not sure how well MIDI expression will work, haven't tried it much yet, but if it does you could do a lot using the Reflex.

I think in the newest firmware it's the default---have you tested it? If I'm right it should be working or you have a very early unit.

They tinkered with Out/Thru/Merge during the beta testing process. I'm not sure what wound up in units that hit the streets. Mine does Merge.

IME non-merging Thru was actually more common until more than one company did updates. Hub does not merge; Eventide Factor/H9 did not until a recent update; Beat Buddy did not until a recent update; Reflex did not until they tried it in beta testing; my SY-300 does not merge that I'm aware of; Line6 M5 only did out, no Thru or Merge; Infinity doesn't even have an out port.

I suspect you either don't realize that some of your units don't actually merge OR you have some really cool stuff!
