This is what I see (clock from ES-8 via 5-pin MIDI to Nemesis) ...
- When first powering up the pedal it does follow MIDI clock
- Move the TIME knob and it stops responding to clock
- Changing effect or bypass on/off does not change this
- Step on the TAP switch and it starts listening to clock again

My MIDI is coming through the Hub, but I hope it works the same. Thanks for looking into it, I'll test that out.

so I was just in the process of ordering a Nemesis delay from the SA online store before I noticed it's going to charge me $12.66 for shipping when im less than 1hr20min away from Woburn mass, I can't believe I have to send my money to an out of state dealer just so I don't feel like im getting screwed on the shipping ***!

It sound like, "Sync to MIDI Clock," might be disabled. You can check this parameter in the HUB Manager; it's on the left hand side next to, "External Control." Currently the Nemesis will follow MIDI Clock sent from the Soleman through the HUB, but if you move the Time knob, it will stop following MIDI Clock until you press the tap button on the Nemesis. We are updating it to include taps from the Soleman to reengage MIDI Clock.

Thanks. I meant to update this. With FretNoMore's advice I was able to replicate this process. I do still have a few questions about how these things interact. As opposed to the Neuro app I'm using MIDI from MIDI Designer passed via the Hub, and not everything makes sense to me just yet. I will probably want to test this out a little more before asking more questions.

I will say that maybe there should be a MIDI command or other option to go to zero delay time even when receiving MIDI clock---I couldn't quite figure out how to do this (for example, to create a fully wet, undelayed bit crushed sound). Maybe there is an easy way of doing it that I'm missing.

To go to zero delay time while receiving MIDI Clock, you could override it with an expression pedal, or other external continuous controller (MIDI App), the time knob, or by using a PC to select a preset that has, "Sync to MIDI Clock," disengaged. Depending on your context, the PC method might be best.

This was extremely useful information. I am currently in what seems to be a never ending battle to get the nemesis and vertigo to play nice with the midi clock. I think I have the vertigo completely tamed but the nemesis is marching to the beat of a different drummer quite often. I may just be seeing a delay between the flashing on the soleman and the nemesis, but even after pressing the tap on the nemesis it still seemed off.

Next order of business can anyone tell me how to effectively use expression through the soleman via the hub? Everything I have set up seemed to have virtually no effect, I think I'm missing something in the sequence of events but if anyone has a screenshot of a hub scene for the nemesis or vertigo that they know works with expression through the soleman that I could try and replicate it would go a long way toward figuring out what my major malfunction is. I don't ask for much do I?

Is the Nemesis getting out of sync with MIDI clock, or is it just never getting in sync? The control input LED should blink for each quarter note received from MIDI clock. With "Sync to MIDI clock" enabled, is the Tap LED matching the blinking of the control input LED? There may be a bit of delay between all of the blinks, but this won't make any difference sonically, since the rate's are all equal. That said, I replicated your setup and am noticing some trouble with syncing. We'll look further into this, and get things running smoothly.

With an expression pedal connected to the Soleman's Expression input, it should start generating CC's right away. When moving the expression pedal, you should see the Expression Bar Graph and CC values changing. So far so good? By default, it will send CC0, so open the Soleman Editor, and change that to your desired number. Check out this document for the Nemesis' CC mappings: [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

It's not possible to save Tap Tempo mode on a preset by preset basis with the SB2's, but there is a workaround. Use your Manta's left footswitch preset as normal, and put your right footswitch preset into tap tempo mode. Now, when saving a preset that you'd like to use tap tempo with, save it in the right footswitch position when saving to the HUB. Now, it will recall that preset with tap tempo enabled.
