And just to report after posting the pic, the Nemesis is so much fun! I only tried out a couple of the engines before I had to get moving, but the Helix combined with a EHX Pitchfork/Lunar Phaser patch equals woah! Also, the sweeper was a blast to use for some funky stuff!

Quick question to anyone with an Aftershock- have you noticed any issue with overall volume? I set up my board last week, had everything dialed in, but when I went to kick on the AS during a song, there seemed to be a volume drop. I tried several things over the weekend, with no real change. Seems like even with my volume pegged it's still slightly quieter than when the pedal is bypassed. I'm still experimenting, hoping I have a setting wrong or something, but figured I'd check here, just in case. For the record, my other SA pedals, notably the OFD, have way more volume/headroom, comparatively speaking.

Hmmm, ok, I guess that rules out a faulty pedal. I seem to especially notice it when I have my Drive low, like between 6 and 10 o'clock. Almost feels like when the Volume is maxed out it's at unity gain, rather than having any significant boost available. With the OFD, on the other hand, there seems to be a considerable amount of boost available, so getting lower drive sounds seems much easier.

Strange, I haven't noticed this at all. I've tested with a few basses but most have a standard to high output, nothing super low which I would imagine would require more volume boost via the pedal.

Just for reference, even without adjusting any Neuro app settings, my pedal 'level' is about unity at around 11-12 o clock depending on how much gain and blend. Sometimes it can be lower but rarely over that.

To add to this, I've noticed the same thing mostly on the low-gain presets I'm using. I can get louder volumes from some of the crazier stuff where the gain is higher. I am also using high-output basses.

What Firmware are you guys running? I upgraded to the latest (1.03, I believe) almost immediately when I got it.

EDIT: Maybe I'm stupid. I guess 1.03 was the initial firmware. Anyway, I updated something via the distortion editor that added a few more distortion models. Just wondering if there was a small change in something with that update that may cause the volume issue.

@nathannavarro mentioned on the Aftershock thread that a factory reset might help with the volume issue. I did that, and it appears it may have worked, but I won't know for sure until I can run the pedal through an amp. I dialed everything in via headphones last week, since I run strictly IEM, but the issue didn't present itself until I played live.

As a workaround, I found that cascading a clean, no distortion signal either into or out of whatever dirt you use allows you to boost the signal quite a bit. Having access to either the Hub editor, Distortion editor or Neuro app makes all the difference.

Or when you haven't used it in months. I haven't had the need to adjust my aftershock since I set it up long ago.

But I do have a new Nemesis that's gonna need a tinkering....

I am really close to buying a Solemate and replacing my MIDI Moose. but have a Solemate question that may make up my mind.

If I have the Solemate going out to my HUB can I have the other Out go to my Future Impact and affect a change? For instance if in the editor can I set one button on a Panel to say send a message to change to 42 and still have the other buttons bring up other scenes through the hub?

This can definitely be done. For example; in Panel Mode, you can have FSW1 cue a HUB preset, FSW2 cue a FI preset, FSW3 cue different HUB and FI presets simultaneously, and have FSW4 set the tempo. The Soleman's (previously Solemate) programming is very flexible, and we're happy to help you set things up if you're running into issues, just send an email to [email protected].

Another thing that sold me, is I no longer have to save a hub setting with nothing on to a button. I can set switch to latching and just click again to turn all off.
