Source Audio Sorcerers Society (S.A.S.S) Part 3

My Nemesis arrived today and I was super excited. I took the dogs for a walk and when I came back, my wife had wrapped it and told me I couldn't have it until tomorrow. She's such a bully!
If I like this post, that means I support the wife. Hmm. Best to stay out of it!! Hope you like it!

"Bro, what level of first world problems are you on?"
"My wife won't let me have my pedal for one whole day."
"You are like a little child. Watch this."

Soooooo what's the word on that nemesis style verb? Any rough timeline

I think Roger posted a very rough, tentative timeline semi-recently. However I don't know where it is and I would love an update! I am most waiting for a potential One Series filter, even though I know that's not super high on the priority list.

Demo units at NAMM. Beta testing in February and March. Release in April..... I hope!
Big update to all our desktop editors coming soon too. Everything, including Hub Manager in one cool package.

Finally got a chance to plug into the Nemesis. Hard to say too much at this point. I really need to dig into the manual a little bit. I found some cool sounds so far. There were a couple delays I was really looking forward to, one of which was the reverse. I'm not getting what I want out of the reverse out of the box so I'm gonna dig into the Neuro app and read the manual and see what I can come up with. For now I really like the format and most of the stuff I hear though. I find the tap tempo to be really useful and the tap+hold infinite thing to be really fun.

Will there be new verb models to sorry to say so crappily, but 'rival' the engines on the strymon/eventide models? Obviously with the source audio magic

I don't even like reverb all that much but same here! I would especially like to hear SA's take on some of the weirder reverbs out there (particle, shimmer, etc.).
if they made a realllllllll serious run at making a competitor to the cloud and bloom settings on the big sky I'd die. Those are the absolute coolest verbs I've heard. I believe in my heart of hearts that SA is gonna blow all of our minds with this one

Also I'd love to beta that bad boy!

So would the guy in a surf band. Seriously though, I need something to kick the Dimension off my board...

Come on @rsmith601

I would argue that the 26 Nemesis Delay engines are as good or better than either the big multi units, or the dedicated smaller units. It also happens to be our first try at a delay pedal. The new Reverb is our second Reverb. Good chance it's going to be highly competitive.

You did an insane job on the nemesis. I think it is ATLEAST as good as the big boxes if not better. I'm unbelievably excited about the verb!

I got a PEQ for Christmas. Will update soon.

I'll update for you lol. It is my ALWAYS ON pedal and is a huge secret weapon for my tone. Play it well!

The Nemesis has a lot going for it. It's a great little unit that has a pretty expansive list of possibilities. I've been playing mine nonstop since I got it yesterday to try and get a feel for it. Unfortunately I don't think it's going to be staying with me. There are a few things that I just don't like. They are really personal preference though, there's absolutely nothing wrong with the pedal at all.

As far as how it stacks up to the big multi's I only really have experience with the Timeline and Timefactor. I'd prefer the Eventide unit if I had to choose. Once again it's just personal preference though. Definitely not a knock on the Nemesis. I think they've done something really special with this pedal.
