Hey all. I know I asked this a few pages back, but I didn’t see anyone respond to it.

I’m trying to sample spectrum presets on my C4 via the neuro app. But they don’t sample onto the C4. Is this still not fixed/a normal thing?

I have to admit that I also posted this to see if anyone knows the preset or something close to that.

The is the best C4 demo to date. By a mile. Wonder if the preset is in the community library....

I've been focusing more on creating patches for cover songs I play with various bands, but I did take a break this weekend to create a version of this patch. It's damn close and I've pretty much got it where I want it, but I'm going to take one more pass at it before I upload my first patch back to the Neuro Borg Mind!

If I get a moment I'll check tonight. Are you talking about the Neuro Mobile or the Neuro Desktop? I know I've tested from the desktop but haven't used the mobile for a week or two. I do know that I've got at least a few Spectrum specified patches on my C4; for instance, I definitely have The Boston Phaser sound not only tested but installed in one of the first 6 patch slots on my C4 and have triggered it by both pedal only and MIDI.

Currently trying to decide if I put my C4 into one of my ES-5 Loops or if I let it 'ride' outside the loops on it's own. The only real reason to have it in a loop would be to have the ability to run other things in front, behind or parallel to the pedal.

on the neuro app. I think it works fine on desktop for me. But the app will not burn anything onto my C4. Let me rephrase that. It won’t load if I just want to sample it on my C4. It’s never worked for me. I have loaded some spectrum presets onto my C4 via the desktop editor. But not on the iPhone app.

A quick question about the C4 and Neuro Hub. Do I hook the C4 to the Neuro Hub using the 1/8th jack or the USB mini socket?

Also, I believe it needs to be a 1/8" TRRS cable. Hub comes with those, right...?

So this is probably not a C4 specific question, but I spent some time tweaking the volume on my C4 presets while playing a jam session last night and was wondering:

Is there an elegant way to adjust the volume beforehand that I'm not aware of? I'm guessing due to the different frequencies of something like a synth sound or effects in general it's not only about the level, but is also always influenced by the room, amp, etc. So all you can really do is sort of approximate and then refine it in a live setting/during rehearsals.

Just wondering if I missed some sort of foolproof method. How do you all approach this?

Great, so just to clarify this in my mind. I'm setting the C4 to a specific Midi channel and then using the Hub to pass on the Midi data from my Boss ES-5. The C4 has 127 presets internally that I can save too and I can CC to the Midi Channel of the C4 and select the preset using a CC number and value. That's pretty much all I need from the Midi functions.

Can I also do this with my Aftershock? I currently use the Hub / Scenes. Can I set my Aftershock to a unique Midi channel and operate it in the same manner? Are there limitations on the number of presets on the Aftershock using this method?

I've only just realised that the three One Series Modulation units are all cross compatible models using the Hub / Neuro app. That's a very big feature that really should be more clearly advertised! I see that the Spring Reverb aslo combines the tremolo models. Are there plans for a Rotary pedal at some point?

This isn't necessarily elegant but I'm considering bringing my laptop to my next jam and just explaining that I need to experiment and tweak volumes. Hopefully somebody else has a more practical suggestion.

Your best bet is to do a 'sweep' of ones you'll likely use when you're at home and rough them in...Then get very used to using the output volume control to dial stuff accordingly at the gig. So far is, my experience is that if you do dial 'em in with your stage rig at a soundcheck you will only have minor variances from there.

...if people are having a really bad time of this on the fly, might be worth having a volume pedal/roller in your signal chain somewhere after the C4 or Spectrum so you can on the fly dial it up or down a pinch.

Yeah, I have my hub & C4 set to MIDI 1, mostly because I didn't want to deal with whatever fuss on figuring out if it sees the hub or the C4. C4 with 1/8th to Hub, MIDI 5pin to hub. Use the CC code and the patch number (minus one) to pick your patch. I also have all my ES-5 "clean" patches set to trigger bypass on the C4 as well. Seems to work fine.
