Hey, so I'm a little late to the game here. I just bought a Mercury Flanger, which is my first SA pedal (the C4 will be on my board soon though). I'm loving the factory sounds on it. They are honestly totally enough to keep me satisfied on Flange sounds, but I want to use this thing to its full potential and make it my all-around modulation machine.

I'm having some problems being able to load presets onto the pedal with the Neuro App. I have my phone connected with the included TRS cable, and I've been trying to burn sounds, but they don't seem to actually make it onto the pedal. For the burning to work properly, does the pedal have to be in preset mode (red LED)? Or does the pedal have to be bypassed? Is there a way to test the connection between phone and pedal to make sure they are reading each other?

Also, if I buy a DMC Micro midi switch, will I be able to access and scroll through the 128 presets, the same way it works on the C4? Thanks!

I am pretty sure that is only available on the C4 as that is the only one that shows USB-MIDI. To get access to the 128 presets, you will need to use a Neuro Hub. You could also do the bluetooth adapter to stereo input trick and use the Neuro app to access different presets wirelessly.

Guys, I am so sorry if I am asking about something that has already been covered (pretty sure it has, but I wasn't sure where I could find it)

I I got a C4 a while ago and it is so awesome but previous to that I have been using my 3Leaf Chromatron and putting a bunch of effects through the effects loop to make one super-cohesive synth section. What is the process for setting up an effects loop on the C4 so that the envelope effects everything in the loop? Can this be done so that I can fully replace my Chromatron? Thanks!

FYI:
HcrProductions commented on his video, saying that he uploaded two versions of the patch he used in that video... The main one and a version that's up an octave, saying it works better with his active basses. I'll be quite interested to compare how close I got to his actual sound!

The DMC Micro gets you access to 100 presets

I may be wrong, but I believe the Micro gives you access to all 128 presets.

I also have a question. I believe I heard on here that the C4 should be first in line for better tracking, but I heard on another forum, that SA recommends a compressor before the C4. What has been Your folks findings on this?

Your welcome. I have always had issues trying to do the firmware updates on my Windows at home, so I bring my board to work, and do it on a Mac!

The Mercury Flanger doesn't have memory for 100 or 128 presets though, that's only for the Nemesis, Ventris, C4, and (I think) Spectrum. (Which have memory for 128, I'm not 100% sure if the DMC scrolls through all 128 or maybe just 100.) All other One Series pedals, including the Mercury, don't have this internal memory so they need the Hub, where the preset scenes are stored.

Hi there! What firmware version are you running right now? We do have an updated beta that should work better with the C4, I’ve linked it below:

And here’s a video showing the update procedure with the MIDI Baby. The steps are the same with the micro, except you must hold down the LEFT footswitch while inserting the USB cable to start the bootloader.



This version changes the program select method for the C4 to use MIDI CC rather than program changes, which are currently broken on the pedal.
