I don’t know if it was user/searcher error on my part or just a marketplace condition, but is Spectrum overlooked in Bass Envelope Filter reviews/discussions or particularly new? In my first round of hunting, it didn’t make any of my lists.

I haven’t played it to know if it will solve my particular Riddle, which has been a bit of an enigma, but it sure looks like it has pretty good answers, and might just be the 4th leaf of the clover.

It (and it’s big bro the C4) comes up on TB quite a bit. I think there is some unearned bias against it for being a digital pedal, and possibly some earned/reasonable bias for the suspected need to attach it to a computer or phone to get to many of its settings. With the Spectrum though you could easily put an upward envelope in one switched preset, a downward in another, a fixed filter with expression control in another, then whatever else you want in the 3 other switched preset spots, assign the 4 assignable knobs with your most needed functions (alongside the 4 fixed knob functions on the top two knobs) and you’d have as much or more control as most analog envelopes out there without ever needing to attach to a computer again.

Whether or not you like the envelope action or tone as much as a 3-leaf or EHX filter is subjective of course. I use an EHX Enigma and a C4 and like aspects of both. I also have a few other filters like a Moog and a Chunk Agent Funk, and really none of them are expendable to me!

With the Gemini, is there any way to get the effect on just one channel, while leaving the other channel dry? I know there is the Dry Through routing option, but that seems to just duplicate the first input's signal and send it through dry, and disregards the second input.

There’s a couple external loop options (pre & post fx). I wonder if that could be misused in a useful way for you.

I have a question about the atlas compressor. Is there a way to have dual mono in summed to mono out? I checked the manual and neuro app and didn't see it as an option.

For context, I have a two channel mixer combining bass and synth on my board going into a mono compressor pedal. I'm thinking an atlas could potentially simplify this setup.

It’s a scam, they’ve also been bombing the Facebook posts for the current collider giveaway. We will not contact you in a public thread about if you’ve won. So ignore any posts on open forums announcing that your the winner.

I have a question about the atlas compressor. Is there a way to have dual mono in summed to mono out? I checked the manual and neuro app and didn't see it as an option.

I don't think so. You could try connecting only out 1, and see if it sums (mixes) the signals, but I don't see that documented anywhere. You could throw a passive micro-mixer after, but I could see why you'd want to avoid that.

Well, shortly after discovering the Spectrum through TB, and then digging into my existing SA pedal (After Shock), I now have two brand new SA pedals, Spectrum and Atlas on the road to me. I was going to wait to sell a couple, but I got a little excited and had a little help from Sweetwater.

Aftershock was early days for Neuro. Spectrum and Atlas take it up a notch! The real time level setting is really nice on Atlas. Name another pedal that shows compression curves and where you are on the curve???

Thanks! I have overlooked the possibilities for years! The 6 on-board presets is really impressive, too. I’ve definitely transitioned from customer to fan.

One burning question (in 2 parts) on bass mode for the Atlas, that I can’t seem to glean from videos and threads…

Does it stay in bass mode, or need to be activated every time you power on? Part 2: how do you know/confirm you’re in bass mode?

I think it stays in bass mode. You can certainly check with the Neuro Desktop and/or the Neuro Mobile when connected with USB. Note that this only impacts the factory presets on the toggle and how they are tweaked. I dont think it is impacting other aspects of the pedal.

It will stay in bass mode, but this only applies to the stock factory presets, once you save presets into those slots, it won’t matter if it’s in bass or guitar mode for those presets that have been replaced.

I'm feeling ready for the next level immersion! I was at the very last step of completing the 2024 version of my pedal board. The Source Audio epiphany has two recently acquired pedals coming off, and a complete re-wire underway.

I was on another bass forum and there was a thread much excited by universal audios new La2a and 1176 compressor pedals - now I don’t doubt they are excellent products, I had to stop myself asking why not get an atlas- and potentially have both at once …

The excellence and simplicity of the UA offerings is a big draw and for many just right. But the Atlas offers a lot more DAW like control, added flexibility and routing - plus the excellent EQ functions and library of sound possibilities. So yeah could be a hard choice.

MIDI adapters (SA168) vs Neuro Hub?

MY SETUP:
All-Source-Audio pedal board has EQ2 —> LA Lady —> Atlas—> Gemini—> Ventris

Hotone Ampero Control (has buttons & external expression pedals, can send most MIDI messages).

The first & last pedals have MIDI ins. All 5 pedals are daisy-linked with TRS patch cables from OUT-2 to IN-2 (data line on ring).

GOALS:
I would like to be able change presets (6 presets, or full 128, either is ok), change enable/bypass states, and send expression CC's to the EQ2 and Ventris. I'd need around 8 "states".

OPTIONS:
1. Just old-school forward-bend, flip switches and make the states manually, no CC.
2. MIDI to EQ2 & Ventris, (otherwise option 1 for LA, Atlas, Gemini).
3. Get combine Neuro Hub to build & save configurations, and use Ampero Control to recall PCs.
4. Get one, two, or three MIDI adapters (SA168) for LA, Atlas, Gemini, and run everything from the Ampero.

QUESTIONS:
With Neuro Hub vs MIDI adapters, are there advantages of one over the other for the above goals? E.g., are expression CC's more responsive via MIDI adapter or Neuro Hub?

Might I be able to at least load configs (presets & enable states) via data-on-ring-in2? I.e., might the new (not-yet-released) Neuro App will be able to send out full states to multiple pedals? Since I only need CC on the pedals with actual MIDI inputs, perhaps there's a half-baked workaround there?

It would have been much easier for us to create separate 2 pedals with less knobs and no software, but our customers want more value and no compromises and sound......so that is what we do.

Another way to look at it is bass mode isn’t really a separate mode, rather it replaces the 6 default factory presets with bass optimized factory presets. To @Gibs210 point, those presets can be overwritten with the users own settings, presets from the cloud, etc.

I don't know if it has been talked, but I am having some problems with desktop editor: I cannot load Spectrum presets from the cloud into my C4. Anyone?
