As a bass player, I hope it's not reverby/shoegazy nonsense. There's enough of that crap out there. If a pedal doesn't understand percussiveness and dead notes, it's of little use to me. Everything is rhythm, and rhythm is everything. Here endeth the lesson.

How is 5-pin MIDI a step backwards? Requiring a separate specialized dongle in order to access basic MIDI control is ridiculous IMO, and 5-pin is far more robust than a mini USB connection.

I could've been more specific I guess. I was referring to the mini TRS they now use on the Artifakt. It's midi only, and not midi over USB, or their 4 pole control port either. It's a standard Boss started, and I'm glad SA seems to be adopting it.

Meh, "placeholderish" offering, the encounter. They needed something for the show, and something to keep people (like me), salivating. Still, I'm glad they take their time to knock it out of the park on a controlled schedule, as opposed to tripping over themselves in a race to grow too fast. (There is such a thing). Keep up the stellar work folks!

PS: None of what I just said means I won't buy one!

SoundCheck was also a big thing we shared privately with our reps and distributors. I will share some details in a bit. Just off the redeye from NAMM/LAX

Cool! Does it somehow provide a way of emulating how the pedal will sound through your rig? And how about emulating multiple SA pedals together?

Is soundcheck like a hub for our SA pedals without MIDI?? Is it cloud based? So many questions Roger lol. Exciting times

You can set it so if you hold down the footswitch it goes from green bank to red bank and vice versa. Like a 1/2 second delay or something i can't remember its been a while since i've used it. So you can go between two patches using the footswitch basically but there is a delay.

It‘s sad that you can‘t use the Tap Tempo Switch to cycle through the presets just like on the EQ2.
