Same here. Given the two presets, I'm just curious trying to understand why he's convinced he needs two.

This makes sense. Yes, needing an extra MIDI controller for the Hub does make it a bit more cumbersome. If you just want four presets, this could be the way to go.

Well, the upcoming SA Midi controller (or the midi moose) would let you do that (Disaster area also has some midi controllers with multiple footswitches). If you [refer a small controller but just want the name of settings, there is the option of the Molten SIMI

But, yeah, the stacking totally makes sense. I would really like to hear samples of that if you ever go through with it.

Teaser picture: the current progress of the new SA/Zoom pedalboard :)

I'll go with the same hinged two-tier design as my current board but with a cutout for the expression pedal. Hidden under the shelf will be the SA Hub, a USB hub (for connecting the two Zooms to the DMC controller), a DI of sorts, possibly a buffer or Thumpinator and maybe a wireless receiver.

This will probably work with the SB1 pedals as shown. I would not try this with SB2. Be careful to do the Y jack correctly!!!

I just pulled the trigger yesterday on my first SA pedal, a soundblox pro envelope filter and im thinking about getting rid of my sansamp bddi and getting a multiwave bass distortion pro as well because it looks way more versatile than the sansamp. soo.. my first question is can I use my voodoo labs iso5 power supply to power these @ 9v 300ma ?
also any tips for someone totally new to the bef pro ?
the pedal(or pedals) wont be here until next week so I have plenty of time to contemplate

Unsolicited advice...the MWBD probably isn't a good Sansamp replacement. The OFD is probably more up your alley. Although I'm gathering you might be looking at the Pro instead of the SB2 series.

the sansamp rely wasn't doing it for me and is kind of a one trick pony, I'd like something that can do more of a fuz than just a gain boost( I have the b channel on my amp for that). I like a lot of the sounds I've hear on the utube demos of the mwbd but I have not looked into the ofd

The MWBD is unique, arguably synth-y. The OFD tries to emulate more classic, analog-type tones. Both do fuzzy sounds, but very different ones.

A second hand -guitar- OFD just went on sale on a local guitar forum for US$70! Jumped on it, picking it up tomorrow to see how well it works with bass! If it loses lows I'll just run it through a Boss LS2 or something...

By the way, in the OFD thread someone mentioned that the EQ settings are

Low: shelving at 230Hz
Mid: 700Hz
High: boost is shelving at 2000Hz, cut is a moving low pass filter that goes down to 550hz

Is this true for both bass and guitar OFD? What about the MWBD?
