You are thinking exactly what I was thinking. And what if you could cycle thru different LFO's with the HH?? Definately a feature for the BEF SB2. But I still am wondering if I can get multiple HH control on a SB2 pedal. I think I have a work-around in place once I get a Midi-Exp or a Midi Solutions "pedal controller" that coverts the expression input into midi. It's all about the CC's available ;)

Justin Chancellor uses them a lot with his tonebender. There is a very brief sample in the DunlopTV video on his rig. I will look for specific songs.

There really are most all the CC's on the Pro pedals you'd need. I got a little greedy and was hoping to control all eq bands and backpage things. But in reality those would have been more for convience than actaul on-the-fly stuff.

My next video might be more detail on Midi Designer and controlling the Pro pedals with the ipad along with the iphone for additional accelerometer tricks you can do with an iphone.

Here's a short simple video, proof of concept, to see what I'm talking about. Midi Designer can assign a 'Supercontrol' to whatever and as many controls your want. I'm controlling it with my finger, but it could easily be controlled by expression pedals or the Hot Hands as long as it's converted to midi.

Edit: oops, I wonder why this wasn't getting any views, it was set to private, I've fixed it. Please check it out, it's really cool what you can do with midi.

You can also link your iPhone to your iPad and use the accelerometer like a Hot Hand thru WiFi.

Hey S.A.S.S, I have BEF Pro headed my way and I look forward to joining your might ranks. While researching this pedal I've found that many people like to run some fuzz/distortion into it. Any thoughts? If so, what are you guys using for said fuzz? Thanks!

Fuzz really grabs onto the filter well. Even a tiny bit brings out a lot more of the character of the filter or LFO. I personally use the SB2 Multiwave Bass Distortion. I love the octave up distortion/ fuzz with the BEF. I also use a Fuzzrocious Rat Tail into the LFO on occasion. That being said, with the BEF Pro, you can basically use any fuzz in front of it without losing a lot of low end since the BEF Pro has built in EQ. These guys think of everything.

Some firmware updates that will make the SysEx messages more stable is coming :)
but they are pretty long and require you to encode one dial over two bits (about 90 bits in total if I recall correctly)
When the preset-editor is stable I can give you some help if you want?

Development on the preset-editor hasn't come to a hold either.

Aaand for those, who has not seen it yet: New demoes from Will
Sounds really sweet on the gated fuzz

Cool. The SysEx is new to me, but sounds like the answer to the preset limits. Does SysEx work 2-way? Like the SB2 have midi i/o and it would be cool to take a 'snapshot' of a group of SB2 pedals in their current states, like a super-preset save.

SysEx is just a way to send long "system exclusive" messages. I think I heard Jesse say that the SB2 would have MIDI out too, so it comes down to the app recieving the MIDI message

I've bought an Arduino board and will start working on modding my FCB1010 to be more MIDI capable, I'm planing to have SysEx support.
I love the MIDI Designer and I love the iPad but I don't have a simple way to physically integrate it on my rig.

I actually thought of this idea too! But ended up discarding it in favour of other projects. Let me know if it works out for you :)

Well, bought the HH3 yesterday and tried to make it work with my m9 on the gig last night. Let's just say,..it isn't plug and play,....will be tweaking it this weekend. Looking forward to getting it integrated into my rig. Fortunately gadgetjunky is a hometown neighbor so I can pick his much more edjumacated brain!!!! ;)
