No, there's not unfortunately. It was an obvious thing in retrospect...

I did make a MIDI tool a while back that let you design and save presets a while back but it meant you have to do the tweaking from the PC side and settings get downloaded. But it's windows only for now.
Not really ready for prime time but maybe I'll find some time to work on it.

Hey Jesse, that's super cool! :D

I presume this is partly inspired by the java app I sent you? If the code for preset-uploading is already present on the PRO-pedals, do you mind sharing the MIDI (or sysex, or whatever it uses)? :)

Well that sucks coz i am going to buy my macbook pro today haha. BTW does anyone velcroed the HH3 on the bottom of the pedaltrain like me?

I guess if you get one with the golden ticket (not really gold). My Classic pro had one in it and I bet they'd still honor them. That promotion is over a year old tho. The wired is only $20, but warning....it's a gateway to Hot Hand Madness!!!

Please note that putting the receiver on the bottom of your pedal boad will limit the effectiveness of the radio. I would try it, but if you experience sluggishness or connections issues....then best to move it topside.

Ok, so as much as I love my MBD, I'm finding it difficult to dial in a convincing tube fuzz. Could be that you just need a piece of analog (or tube) kit to pull it off better than this. Here's what I have so far. Anyone else doing better?

Update: Rolling off almost all the highs on my bass actually sounds even better. A lot of the string noise is gone and the tone got much warmer.

Tube Fuzz is a bit of a misnomer, it sounds like you are wanting a slightly overdriven tube sound, fuzz usually involves harsher clipping.

The MWD is not trying to emulate analog clipping, its it's own thing, so you'll never get a perfect emulation. That being said, I've used the MWD on normal 15 setting like you have in the pic as my main drive/pick sound about 50% of the time over the last three years. I've not always enjoyed the sound I dialed in in a solo setting, but I loved how it worked in the mix with my two guitarists. I think both clips you provided would be very workable sounds for me.

Yep, I get that. And I absolutely love "its thing." I'm just weighing out my need for a Tech21 VT Bass type effect in addition to the MWBD. This strikes me as pretty ok for live performances (close enough for rock 'n roll, as it were), but might not fly in all recording situations.

you're totally right here. In a live mix these subtle differences are hard to tell and what sound good in the bedroom often gets burried in the live mix.

You may want to try stacking a fuzz before the MWBD. I stacked my Classic Pro and MWBD Pro and the layers it creates are really cool.

Interesting idea. I'll try that if I end up getting an analog unit.

To continue my thought above about it being good enough for live but not quite for recording... it occurs to me that the guy I work with has all that stuff right on the mixing desk. I record something totally raw (Safe From Harm last Friday--ouch!) and then he goes "you want an amp on that?" And I go "flip top, and EQ out that fret noise" and he goes "ok" and I go "ok and we both go "ok." We're living in the future.

Yea, the clean mix on the MWBD isn't just for a clean signal. It will let you pre-fuzz right on thru nicely. By itself I wasn't as instantly happy with the MWBD like I was when I got the Classic Pro, but after stacking I quickly changed my setup and I can see future uses for the MWBD funky stuff.

time to update the Classic Pro manual (online) guys. The Clean Mix and Octave Drop are huge selling points for that pedal and except deep in the original SA thread or when I talk about it, nobody would know. The manual that came in my Classic Pro does have the updates.

I've searched but didn't find an answer to this, maybe one of you guys know:
If you have an expression pedal plugged in, and are part-way between two presets, can you save THAT in-between sound as a preset? and potentially get that sound after unplugging the expression pedal- kind of like the EHX HOG does.
