We really wanted to have Hot Hand, MIDI, and Expression in and out on the SB2. The only way to do this was via the sensor jacks. If it were the Pro housing, we would have the 1/4 inch Expression option. Sorry about that.

It is what it is. I probably will be getting one/both at some point, but I'm just not sure when yet. I'm not sure how much I'd like using the dual inputs on the Reverb and BEF Pro, but it would free me up to use one of my EP-2s with the MWBDP (the morphing and reverb combined I'm not sold on combining due to how my presets are setup) and go back to using the other with my Bass MuRF. I'm fairly certain if a Reverb Pro came out I wouldn't need that, so it's just going to be a question of when for now. That and unloading a couple of pedals to forestall the wife going ballistic over two more pedals coming in. (Can't explain to her that EPs aren't exactly effects in and of themselves but controllers for effects, she just sees a bunch of expensive gadgets on the floor. :D)

I am a bit baffled by Skrogh's experience. :hmm:
It's not a big problem, I assume that it is simply due to a bad electrolytic cap. Perhaps some day I'll take it apart and replace it. For now it works with the modified PSU.
By the way, if you could share the part-number/name (as in C1, C2, C54, or whatever it is), that would be nice :) - Then I don't have to reverse engineer the circuit.

I am using it, and because I was intermittently hearing that noise, it was the main reason I finally upgraded to a "Big Boy" power supply. No noise issues now.

Hey man, I just got my BEF Pro in used without the adapter....I have a Voodoo Labs ISO-5....but I can't find what mA the BEF Pro needs. What "big boy" supply you using? :help:

there has been 1 issue ive had with the hot hand.
the ring is not long enough for my thumb. i have tried using it in other fingers but it does not feel comfortable.
it sensually comes undone but on instances it breaks.
sound and everything else is perfect so no issues there.
im using electrical tape so i don't break this one. lol.
has any one else had this issue?
ps. im not that big of a guy :)

Thanks guys. Dang. My Faye Sing is already taking up my 300mA slot on the ISO-5. Everything else is only 100mA. Guess I need to buy a 1spot for it. :scowl:

The Pro is about 120ma. The Hot Hand wireless adds another 30ma. 200ma is a conservative amount of current to get from the supply.

I don't suppose you fine gentlemen would sell adapters separately? :D

I assume you are using the wireless? I can send you another ring rubber or 2. This will give you some options. Send me your mailing address via PM.

The ones we sell on Amazon are transformer based and very clean.

You MIGHT be able to get away with the 100mA slot. Give it a try. If the pedal does not turn on, or it is noisy, then go for more juice.

I was wondering about the hot hand midi exp pedal. How much longer until they are readily available again? Could it work with a Strymon TimeLine? How does the pitch shifter wheel setting work, with what type of pedals?

I would think it could control any parameter mapped to MIDI on the Timeline, but I am not the expert on that.

Pitchwheel is a MIDI concept, I believe. This is a good question for a MIDI expert.

MIDI Exp is looking like October.

New wireless Hot Hand with Expression output will be earlier.
